We stayed in Les Carroz in Feb 2026 with our grandson.
Whilst the number of runs in Les Carroz does not match up to its easily accessable nieghbour Flaine, there is a great variety of interesting pistes.
There are many tree lined runs which offer great protection from bad weather and provide challenging twists and turns for those leaving the nursery slopes. Due to the lower elevation the snow is softer and can get churned up by midday. Overall a great resort for beginners and intermediates.
The village of Carroz is really lovely centred around a town square lined with bars and restaraunts. We stayed during the school break and every day/evening there were free events in the square which was great fun.
Accommodation is plentiful and reasonably priced, a couple of supermarkets made self catering an easy option but eating out was not too expensive.

Small village with good a handful of friendly authentic restaurants, Kids entertainment in the square at the beginning of the evening. Good access to gondola - we could walk to the carpet lift to take us to the Gondola. Felt relaxed and low key. If you want clubs and night life, this is not your place. Ski access to the Grand Massif range which was great,

Excellent resort great for kids and adults alike. Greta slopes too. Plenty to choose from for food and restaurants were good.

Love Les Carroz- been multiple times. Linked to flaine and Les Villages meaning huge range of runs with plenty of choice for all levels!

Great family friendly village which always looks beautiful. Loads of accommodation with hotels and apartments. Many food options and self catering supermarkets. Good access to Morrillon, Flaine, Sixt and Samoens via lifts and slopes.

Les carroz has a lovely village square with markets on Tuesdays and evening activities - family friendly. Good access to the lofts and gondolas and links in to grand massif Flaine and a good range of intermediate runs. Good traditional restaurants and Boulangerie

Lovely small resort perfect for building confidence. Ski school instructors were lovely.
As a group we had beginners and advanced and was something for everyone.

A good family orientated ski resort. Base level snow cover was thin in March, but Flaine height was good enough to keep good snow cover. Very much a beginner resort with lots of blues and and good amount of reds.

Beautiful village and because it was Christmas a wonderful atmosphere. Easy to find way around resort. Several runs were closed to preserve for new year week but they looked lovely. Run across and back from Flaine was very busy especially in the afternoon. Did not use ski school for grandchildren after bad experience at Easter in Flaine.

What I loved about Grand Massif most were the long, wide, decently groomed runs in all areas served by a great network of mostly fast (but also long) modern chairlifts

Les Carroz is pretty quiet but it's ideally situated. Kedeuze Gondola is a bit of a schlep up the fill from the town centre (and was broken the week we were there) but there are a reasonable amount of buses and the Molliets sector isn't too far either.

Views are spectacular, great variety of pistes, good assortment of mountain restaurants. It adds up to more than the sum of it's parts.

A friendly resort that caters for all ages and all levels. Had so much fun there over the years and it’s a community that you want to go back to again and again. They do so much in the evenings to entertain. It’s also the prettiest village I have been to.

Les Carroz is a fantastic great value ski area . With links via lifts to 5 other resorts over the whole Gran Masiff range the skiing is amazing and has plenty to please everyone. The village of Les carroz is small but has plenty to provide choices in goid food and for those thirsty few the bars are plenty with different atmosphere in each. Family friendly skiing with plenty of access to good schools & other fun around the village.

Great resort, small centre, but plenty going on. Skiing is great, linking into the grand massive ski area. Tree lined runs around the lower villages great, especially in poor visibility. Open skiing up higher around Flaine. Short transfer from Geneva.

Been to this big area 3 times. First time with family, wife stayed ( first time on skis) around easy greens and blues at the top of Grand massif express, safe for me to leave her there and venture off , usually staying ,incase needed in the Samoens area on Marmotte etc. Theres a great lunch / coffee restaurant just below Dahu slope. Once you get to Tete des Saix at the top the world opens up, Ahhh down towards Les Carrox , Gron became a favorite, lots of tree runs here , an easy going not too busy vibe . If theres time I went to Flaine , Intermediate and fast long slopes in this big open area and what a wonderful view at the top of Platieres. Dont make the mistake of skiing down Cascades unless snow is really good, its a beautiful leisurely run except for the rocks near the bottom that will rip up skis.

Great resorts for families and beginners/intermediates. Some lifts and slopes closed which meant we couldn’t explore all of the area. Great time of year to come, great weather. Loved our hotel with saunas and spa. Would 100% to again to same area.

Early doors between 9:15 to 12 is amazing main slope is very empty but you can literally connect to any valley nearby within 2 lifts unreal skiing quality deffo gunna make it a yearly occurrence !!!
