Great resort for a long weekend with a few different ski domains to explore. Long ski season for a resort despite it being in the south of France (Alp Maritime). Very convenient coach transfer from Nice! The resort town itself is not that picturesque but there are a lot of activities which are great for families. The "Boulevard" piste is a lovely long green run which is great for beginners!

Myself and my partner went for 3 days skiing in isola 2000 at the start of this year and had the best time. The slopes were quiet the accommodation we stayed in was awesome as we had ski in and out access. The conditions were a little icy on the slopes but the resort did their best work to keep as many runs open and well groomed as possible. Very impressed with the place and hoping to go back soon!

My friends and I went on our first mates ski trip to Isola 2000, it fitted the average skiing ability of the group. However, as one of the more advanced skiers, I did struggle to enjoy the variety of skiing as there are a lot of green runs and at least a third of the pistes / lifts were shut which was very frustrating. The resort befits a short ski break but as someone who ordinarily skis for an entire week or two I can't say it would work for that length of time. Not entirely sure I'd return anytime soon.

We stayed in a chalet in isola 2000 which was very spacious and family friendly, with large rooms, a large living area and kitchen and a big balcony with a nice view. There are plenty of beginner slopes, however the ski area is very limited compared to other resorted with only about 20km of pistes available, and the majority of these are green/ blue. If you are a keen ski/ snowboarder I would not recommend this resort for this reason. However, if you are booking a family ski trip or are a beginner, this resort could be ideal as the accommodation is nice and not too far from the slopes and the ski school is right in the centre. Lessons here are fairly cheap and the slopes are not too busy so it is a good place to learn how to ski/ snowboard. The apres ski options are limited, however there are a few bars that are open late so the option is there if you need it. We spent the majority of our time in the Irish bar, which is reasonably priced and lively.

Great place to go, bit of a hidden gem. Only risk is the road in.
Good variety of slopes suits the beginner/ intermediate best.

I had a very fun time skiing in Isola. The resort itself is lovely, very friendly and welcoming and the ski area is good too. There was a lack of fresh snow at the time I visited, so some areas were closed off, but the runs were very well maintained and quiet. Overall a good resort!

Isla 2000 is a hidden gem in the French Alps, offering a laid-back atmosphere with impressive snow coverage and a variety of runs. While it may not have the big size of some other resorts, it compensates with its charming, smaller-scale vibe and stunning views. The slopes are well-maintained, and the resorts relatively uncrowded nature means you can enjoy a more relaxed skiing experience. Ideal for families and intermediate skiers, Isla 2000 is perfect for those seeking a modest getaway with great snow conditions and cozy après-ski spots. However, the nightlife and off-slope activities are limited, making it better suited for those who come primarily for skiing.

Since we are back in Europe, 10 years, we have been snowboarding every year at Isola 2000. Easy to fly from where we live (London UK), easy to rent a car and just 1 and 1/2 hour from Nice airport. Easy to find accommodation (Airbnb above all) and restaurants are excellent (I recommend le vieux chalet. Slopes are great with fantastic exposures. Station staff is lovely. We wouldnt change station for anywhere else
There is a great variety of slopes (from easy to pro) and we have never been disappointed in any way.
Highly recommended for families

Fantastic ski resort - family friendly, small with plenty restaurants, cinema, pools and alternative activities for evenings
Slopes are generally quiet and suit all levels
Good access by road from Cote DAzur and plenty accommodation.
Would highly recommend for skiers or boards

A great resort with a wide range of runs to suit all abilities though there is more runs suited for new/ beginner skiers or those looking to increase there confidence. Options are more limited for advance/ expert skiers but this doesnt stop you enjoying the slopes.
There are a lot of button lifts, some are very long and go up very steep slopes.
