Station plutôt sympathique avec une ambiance familiale, manque régulièrement de neige et il y a pas mal de monde pour une station dans les pyrénées

We visited Ax during the last week of January. While the snow conditions werent ideal on the first day, we were fortunate to have a few snowfalls, which improved things significantly. The lifts, however, are beginning to show their age and could certainly benefit from some modernisation. During our visit, we didn't encounter any queues on the weekdays, which was a pleasant surprise.

One downside, however, was the amount of flat terrain, which proved challenging for snowboarders. The plateau, with its numerous small green runs, was quite disorganised; nothing seemed to connect, meaning a fair bit of walking was required. The Campels side was fantastic on one day, but very windy the next, although it did offer some great blue runs.

Overall, the resort is ideal for complete beginners, especially given that access to the bunny slopes is only 25. On a positive note, we had a wonderful experience at the Rendezvous restaurant definitely worth a visit.
