Amazing resort, so much to explore both on and off the piste! Will be back :)

There is a huge range of slopes, we only explored the blue and red but with access to so many mountains its amazing.

Avoriaz was my last trip this season. I visited this resort for the Snowboxx festival which was a weekly ongoing occasion. The festival offered many different stages and even small party location in-between some of the piste runs to stop off get a free beer and enjoy a boogie! This resort was amazing in the size department. You can start off in france and ski your way over to switzerland just off a few chair lifts and pretty fun and exiting runs. Most the slopes were wide enough for you to take your time as well as had break off points for red and blue piste if you was looking for a little bit more of a challenge. The buttons lifts are massive and get you to locations which are only accessible with certain chairlifts, so its kind of a jump the que situation. The people were friendly but some not soo much, i would put this down to the fact that the festival was on attracting people from all over the globe. Mainly English and we can be the rather roudy lot when away from home. The pistes were great fun. But with many skiers and snowboarders, bumps were easily formed on piste, but i rather found that fact enjoyable. If you are an intense rider looking for a thrill this resort also offers the swiss wall which is a black run consisting of many hardworking bumps almost the full way down the run, unfortunately i didnt get to try this run this time as i was with a group which wasn't confident enough to take this run. I also seen a race course slightly off-piste offering twist turns swirls and speed. With loads of restaurants and bars scattered all over the resort your belly never goes empty. I personally had a great burger which i think my eyes were bigger than my belly for that one this was around 23 euros but worth every cent. Over in Avoriaz town there are cheaper food options where i managed to find a hotdog which was good in size for around 8euros as well as a burger and fries for around 10 euros. I would definitely visit this resort again was a blast!

The Porte du solieu resort is amazing, comprising of the Swiss wall, avoriaz, les gets and morzine.
The après at this resort is good, with plenty of options.
The food and accommodation is very good with a variety for all costs.

4th time skiing at resort. Always very enjoyable. Slopes to cater all needs from nice greens to the Swiss wall.
Always a good coverage of snow. Snow parks for all abilitys

Firstly, ensure to arrange suitable transfer from the arrival zone if your accommodation is not close, the resort will have snow cats or horses to take you to where you need to be. If you dont do this you could end up with a long walk with all your equipment/bags which is not a good start to your holiday.

Highly recommend getting the full ski lift package and visiting the pistes in Switzerland. This area is quieter, has
reduced waiting times for lifts, and are well groomed pistes.

We got just a little unlucky with snow while we were away but had a dump one of the nights which changed the game. The skiing experience was like no other with access to the Swiss wall which was a great experience and challenge. Aprez at the highest quality and amazing people everywhere the only issue we had was due to snow off piste wasnt always an option. The accommodation was among the best Ive been to would recommend to anyone

Whilst staying in Morzine I went to avoriaz a few times during my time in France and was blown away by the amount of amenities the area has. Skiing there was incredibly fun and confidence reinforcing especially on the beginner slopes.
The food choices were great and quality was always there. The people are really friendly and there are so many options. Attempted some mogul skiing (I think in avoriaz) and even though its not for me these runs seemed good for those who enjoy that style of skiing.

Really enjoyed my experience in Avoriaz ,the locals were super friendly .Slopes were groomed every night and queues for the lifts werent ever long

Brilliant slopes with good snow and well maintained. Very friendly place. Plenty of places to eat and apres bars are outstanding .

A high altitude resort which is pretty snow sure. Avaoriaz is vehicle free so from the moment you arrive at the welcome center your holiday really begins when you are picked up by either snow cat or horse drawn sleigh and transported to your accommodation, if you've got kids this is really magical.
Large ski area with the ports du solei pass giving you access to Les Gets, Morzine and you can ski to resorts over in Switzerland. Highly recommend.

Great location, snow sure and terrain for everyone, from beginners to advanced.
I took my disabled son here for his first ski trip and it was amazing.

Beautiful resort, car free which is a nice niche. Snow was amazing and access to Portes Du Solie is a bonus. However, acces to Morzine/ Les Gets is a little difficult seems silly to be grouped into the same lift pass. Very busy little alpine village high up the mountain so benefits from the snow and gives the proper "Ski Vibes" one would expect.

Was in Avoriaz for 6 days and was neither bored or disappointed once. Absolutely gorgeous pistes which are well maintained with a range of difficulties so its perfect for everyone. Best apres Ive ever been to in a good location to get back to every accommodation. Plenty to do and eat out at in the evenings too, from quick eats to fine dining, la cabane taking my top spot. Then to YAK after for some dancing

Thrilling slopes, stunning views, and cozy amenities make this resort a must-visit destination! Would recommend to everyone.

Very family friendly blue runs, great for beginner skiers, some great mogul runs and terrain park runs, not many red runs but enough to satisfy, helpful staff that can speak english

Access to a huge, varied ski area. Locals surprisingly friendly when you make a little effort. Lots of off piste options. Grooming on piste was ok. Some ridiculously busy slopes. A few lift bottlenecks. The town was too densely populated by people. Traffic free was a bonus. Town was too busy.

Fantastic family friendly resort with great runs for all abilities. Amazing restaurants and lots of fun apres we will be back again next year as it works for our two families
