What Skiers Say About Borovets
Borovets is consistently described as a budget-friendly resort that particularly suits beginners and families, with multiple reviewers praising the ski schools and instructors. The ski area is small, with most intermediate skiers able to cover all runs within 2-3 days, and advanced skiers often find limited terrain. Value for money is a recurring theme, though several reviewers note prices have increased since Bulgaria adopted the Euro. Snow conditions are variable, with the resort relying heavily on snow cannons, and late-season visits often see limited piste availability and slushy conditions. The resort has a lively nightlife with cheap bars and restaurants, though some reviewers mention the prevalence of strip clubs as a family concern.

The main ones are good but venture upto the higher peaks for more challenging runs.
Theres a lot of novices who aren’t good on main green slopes. Likely due to the cost but the enough red and blue slopes to avoid them.
The town is fantastic with slots of bars and restaurants all serving amazing food.
Theres not much in the way of apres ski activities other than the bars.
Hotel Samokov does have some fantastic facilities though for families and is our favourite place to stay.
You would maybe get bored of repetitive runs if your were there for a full week!
Good food and lots of bars!
The kids loved the ease of everything with some nice greens and blue of varying surroundings it was ideal. We’re heading back in a few weeks.
I think the value for money is one of its best qualities, staying at Rila and with 1/2 lessons each day you’re looking around £1500 for the week all in.
Perfect for your first couple times on the snow to build confidence and not break the bank.
