Good skiing for a couple of days but most intermediates would probably get bored after that due to few km of piste. Snow cover wasn’t great when we went either so a lot of the runs were closed and / or icy so could be challenging near the bottom. Would also say the slope gradings were tough compared to french resorts too (many borovets blues would be french reds in our opinions)

Small resort, very reasonable priced for food and drinks.
Skiing was good but the resort doesn’t have the same altitude as the Alps. Great for families, beginners and intermediate skiers.

Really good resort if you are looking for something cheap and are a beginner-intermediate. Intermediate-advanced riders will lap the resort in a day or so. Lots of the green runs are narrow connecting runs so snowboarders may struggle

Small resort, good for skiers but some pistes are quite narrow so not ideal for snowboarders. Unfortunately when the gondola is shut due to high winds everyone is concentrated to the few lower slopes so it can get very busy! Mixture of runs for all abilities and good for a weekend but overall a small budget friendly option!

Great for beginner and families. Everyone is super super friendly including locals. I have been to France and the local villagers seem to hate you?!?! Not the case in Bulgaria, Everyone is so welcoming and helpful, really kind people. The apres isn't great but the night like is really really good. All kinds of places to go depends on the atmosphere you like.
Would say definitely family friendly. So much to do other than ski or board. The ski schools for children are so good. Again probably because everyone is super nice and friendly.
Started going in 2015 and went each year until covid hit. It was so so cheap with a full package costing a little over £500 including flights, half board accommodation and the lift pass and lessons. However this secret gem has got a lot more expensive since its been discovered by so many people now.
Best time to go is January and early Feb. Depends on weather conditions would not recommend leaving it little March, it can be very very green in the village

Maybe the time of year but there was a lack of snow, not many runs open lifts varied when opened leaving fairly big ques full of very rude adults and children with adults pushing their way through. Once you got up the top it was nice with some lovely runs

Very Family friendly resort. Found the locals easy to approach and very friendly.

Great value for money and worth a visit for sure! Had a great time! The ski instructor was great and the facilities at the hotel were amazing! Great night life too!

Overall a very solid resort. Ski school very good and ski equipment high quality. Very good budget resort for family’s with small kids and those who like difficult runs too. There is a very good verity of slope difficulty’s.

Brilliant destination for me as a beginner, also family friendly but a nice variety of bars and restaurants for evenings. Would defo go back as value for money was excellent.

Visited a few times, as a teenager and now as an adult, relaxed resort that doesn’t take long to get around (except the gondola queue at peak time), easy to meet after ski school, great for families and would be good for beginners as good value for money.

Borovets mostly has wide pistes. Good for beginners and intermediate ski/snowboarders. The apres village is good fun. If you are looking for a quite few drinks, you can get that. If you are looking for a party, you can find that too. The lifts are usable if maybe a bit outdated. I also think that the snow can be a bit hit or miss but it was a hit when I was there. Overall it's a great resort and fantastic value for money.

The resort was good in general.
The main ones are good but venture upto the higher peaks for more challenging runs.
Theres a lot of novices who aren’t good on main green slopes. Likely due to the cost but the enough red and blue slopes to avoid them.

The town is fantastic with slots of bars and restaurants all serving amazing food.

Fantastic ski schools. I have used three here. Lovely contained ski areas and fantastic for families. We usually go half board with kids and have found the food to be great. Eating out is cheap and the food quality is fantastic. The raspberry wine isn’t to be missed!
Theres not much in the way of apres ski activities other than the bars.
Hotel Samokov does have some fantastic facilities though for families and is our favourite place to stay.
