Nice view from top. Slope was in good condition. Family friendly with ski school starting and pick-up times slightly longer than the adult ski lessons times. Hotel very comfy. Needed to take a short bus ride to get from the hotel to the ski school, but acceptable.

Short transfer from Salzburg. Family friendly resort. High altitude glacier skiing. Good variety of runs to suit all. Many ski schools available. Good variety of accommodation.

Love it here. Beautiful village and reat scenery with the Lake. Great skiing. Great apres. All round great place to go. Family friendly and good for couples too or groups of friends.

Have been going to Zell am See for years and its just a great general all round resort. Family friendly but still good bars if you do want apre ski and the pass covers a large area.

Kaprun is a great resort. The runs are so wide and great for all level skiers. I would highly recommend this resort. Its also very close to others

We stayed in Zell am See before Christmas as a family of 4 (two kids 12 and 8) and really enjoyed both the atmosphere of Zell with the lake, shops and Christmas markets and how easy everything is from getting there by train (1.5 hours from Salzburg) to the modern and efficient lift and cable cars. Skiing is good and reasonably varied with options for different abilities across the three ski areas and as its high the snow was decent even in mid December. Worth going to the top of the glacier for the view and being able to ski all the way down although it does take a while and lots of cable cars/lifts. Would recommend Brundl sports for hire as great quality (and brand new) kit as well as really helpful staff.

Great overall mountain terrain, good for all abilities, some great off piste for snowboarders and good tree runs to find. If the snow is good its definitely worth getting a guide to explore further afield.

Kaprun is excellently placed at the foot of the Kitzeinhorn Glacier meaning it is snow sure and now has a linked lift direct from the main village. The other area in the village is quaint and ideal for families.There is also excellent bus links to Zell am see which is a lovely town and has another relatively large ski area with the possibility of skiing over to Saalbach.

Great resort feel, the best skiing to be found up on the glacier in kaprun, and if you have the correct ski pass then saalbach and hinterglemm have a great variety of slopes. Everything from tree lined runs to glacier skiing and I think it is the most picturesque resort I have ever been to.

Great area for skiiers/boarders of all ability, some solid reds/blacks but plenty of spacious blues to cruise down. Park areas are good but could be better serviced by lifts, can take ~15 mins between runs by the time you've made it down to the lifts and back up again.

Lovely little resort - some fun if limited apres options. Changeable conditions as low altitude which means some slopes are not open or icy conditions.

I visited this resort for the first time in 2024. I was very impressed with the lift system which was very efficient. There was even a gondola with heated seats! Plenty of options for food and drink on the mountains and with lift served connections to Saalbach/Hinterglemm & Leogang there's lots of skiing to be had.Suffice to say I'm going back again next week (2025).

Our favourite family resort. Easy to walk around, with and excellent lift at Maiskogel giving access to Kaprun and Zell. Snow sure, with bus options if the weather requires you to travel to the other Kaprun lift. Lovely mountain restaurants with lots of run choices form the top of the glacier back to the lift. Nice easy runs down to Kristalbahn lift or more challenged reds down to the 3K K-connection lift, which is a lovely way back down, with stunning views. Ski school options for kids were great. Returned five times

I went there last year and i wasnt the greatest skier but the beginner slopes helped me slowly get the grove back into it and by the end of the week the very good and varied slopes helped me become a good skier again and go down the black slopes which are very well kept.
