What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

It’s a great ski resort one of the oldest in the country, my suggestion is to take the lifts all the way to Zürs and then Bus to ski the classics Lech slopes, awesome slopes with plenty of space and good all around vibes, definitely go to Apreski!!!

St Anton is one of my favourite places to go skiing. The skiing is amazing and vast. Definitely not for beginners though as it's steep. The village is also lovely. Nice shops and plenty of bars and eating places. It's definitely got the party vibe but families enjoy it too with their kids. It has fab off piste areas!!

Best apres around and some great slopes as well. Staying in town makes it easy to get to lofts and apres on the free bus. Mooserwirt can't be missed

My friends and I had a great time in St Anton. Great piste-side bars / clubs. The atmosphere all around was lively and friendly. There are all manner of places to eat and drink for groups and for families.
Personally I'd return, but the slopes are a little tricky for novice skiers / boarders.
With it being in Austria, you know that the people will be friendly.

I did a season here so really can attest to one of the best places I have skied.

They literally invented apres and you can visit the famous mooservirt or krazy Kangaroo or taps and all will keep the music and beer flowing until 8pm.

Slopes are endless and snow is usually great!

St Anton was a great resort with some great options for skiing and snowboarding. I went with a group of 4 skiers and 3 snowboarders and we all enjoyed what the slopes had to offer including well groomed runs and a mix of powder in there too for us snowboarders. Food was varied and nice but a bit on the pricey side. The snowparks were fun and challenging but also catered for beginners to the park also. The main plus to this resort is the great long blue and red runs so it is really good for intermediate level snowboarders but there are also some good black runs too which we tried. Overall a really good resort and I would consider coming back again!

Not a snowboard place. Too many cat tracks and with four lifts concentrated in one main area it was just moguls in the pm. No long pistes to enjoy.

Nothing is snowsure, but we have been lucky a few times with St Anton because of topography.
It has a reputation of being expensive but diligent research can find good deals outside school holidays. Or, if you like, there are plenty of more costly options.
The lift accessed off piste is very extensive and there is a huge choice of guides.
The main resort is compact with great access to the skiing and, for non skiing partners, mountain restaurants.
Now in my last few years of skiing I intend to split my time between St Anton and Val D'Isere.

There is nowhere else like St Anton. The skiing and après make this resort the number one for me. Having skied in France, Switzerland and Austria, and being a Francophile, I never thought France could be beaten but St Anton brings another level of fun and value that makes it unmissable every time
