What Skiers Say About St. Anton am Arlberg

St. Anton attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with multiple reviewers noting it is not well-suited for beginners due to steep terrain and limited easy runs. The après-ski scene, particularly venues like Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo, is the most consistently praised aspect across reviews. The ski area is described as vast and well-connected to Lech and Zürs, with well-groomed pistes and modern lift infrastructure. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for accommodation, food, and general expenses. Several users note that late-season or low-snow conditions lead to icy slopes and challenging conditions on lower-altitude runs, particularly the home run into town.

Nothing is snowsure, but we have been lucky a few times with St Anton because of topography.
It has a reputation of being expensive but diligent research can find good deals outside school holidays. Or, if you like, there are plenty of more costly options.
The lift accessed off piste is very extensive and there is a huge choice of guides.
The main resort is compact with great access to the skiing and, for non skiing partners, mountain restaurants.
Now in my last few years of skiing I intend to split my time between St Anton and Val D'Isere.

There is nowhere else like St Anton. The skiing and après make this resort the number one for me. Having skied in France, Switzerland and Austria, and being a Francophile, I never thought France could be beaten but St Anton brings another level of fun and value that makes it unmissable every time

Great few days in St Anton. Previously used to go to Hintertux, but now will definitely split between both.

Everyone should go here at least once in their life - even if it is just for the Apres Ski. My favourite resort by far

Absolutely love St. Anton- particularly for Apres!!
The ski area is big with a tonne of blues and reds with some nice blacks too. We didn't go off piste as it was high avalanche risk but I assume it's good. Piste is really well tended and the only run we found mega busy was the main one back into St.Anton/ to Apres.
Loads of really nice restaurants too.
Wouldn't go here as a beginner but for intermediate +, its awesome.

Good for boarders- very fun to play around- though admittedly quite a few flats to get stuck on. Snow quality was low at this time of year but good enough to enjoy.

Went for New Years and had an amazing time. There’s a free bus that takes you to and from the hill. There’s also like 500km of runs so you’ll never get bored. Apres scene is insane, such a good experience

One of my favourite resorts in the world. More leaning towards advanced skiers and still options for lower levels. World class speed, particularly the moosenwirt.

Worked 2 seasons in St Anton.

Loads of longer groovy red/blues with good space to move. Most lifts decent with the exception of horrible 2 man chair you have to get on to get to Warth.

Huge ski area

Unmatched apres

A lack of live music offerings compared to France but atmosphere wise its unbeatable.

Excellent local bus service and train to resort from Innsbruck. Train also goes Zurich, Budapest etc. Which is handy if your traveling minded.

Snow was slightly lacking in December but all slopes were well maintained. Lifts were very quiet and resort was pretty quiet too. Would have prefer to go later in the season so it was slightly busier.

Honestly if you love ski/boarding with your mates this is the place to be with challenging but fun blues and reds and excellent apres ski facilities would highly recommend to anybody who fancies the best of both ski and party life…think of it really like the Ibiza of ski resorts in terms of what to do during the day and night
