Great family holiday and plenty to do / good walking area for non skiers. Especially love the pancakes with fruity sauce.

Pretty resort, family friendly, not a large ski area but good for beginners/intermediates. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Great public swimming pool although quite pricey.

I spent one week in Seefeld. Piste are not as wide as some other resorts in Europe, the resort in general is quite small. There is one black run, and most blue and red ones. I think if youre a beginner is quite good! In general I had a good experience

Is this the biggest ski area in Austria? No. However, it has a lot going for it.
Only 30 minutes from Innsbruck on the train or really easy via transfers waiting outside the airport.

Seefeld has two main ski areas - Rosshutte and Gschwandtkopk, both are easily accessible by the ski buses that run through the town. Neither have the most challenging of runs - but they were relatively quiet, which is saying something, as the snow wasnt great and some runs were shut (more on this later)

The lifts are pretty decent and fast, but dont expect anything heated!

For food and drink needs, best bet is at the bottom of each area. But there are the odd hut you will stumble across as you ski/board the area.

When went mid to late March 2024, and the snow wasnt great (wasnt in most places, right?), as it is a relatively low resort, it did suffer and some runs were shut, and at the bottom it was pretty slushy. Speaking to an instructor, they said it was the worst snow theyve had in years - but something to consider.

The village is great - loads of places to eat, horse draw karts, massive swimming pool and spa (Austrian spa rules, so no swimwear!), ice skating and a hotel has a mini bowling ally.

Food is good mixture of Austrian Tirol and pizza/burger/steak if thats what you fancy.

We went as a family with a small kid, and it was perfect for a good balance of being on the snow and doing other stuff. If I was with my mates, we could cover the two mountains in a day.

Would I go back? Yes - in fact we are going back again in 2025 with some more family who are beginners.

Stayed in lovely hotel with great breakfast.
Quick, easy ride up to the ski area
The slopes are all well prepared but blues can be more difficult than resorts in france , the lifts efficient and fast but can get busy in shool holidays. Perfect for family skiing as quieter and not much rowdy apres ski parties in town.
