The resort is consistently praised for efficient lifts with heated seats, well-groomed pistes, and lively après-ski atmosphere. Fantastic ski area to suit all abilities. Amazing slopes with links to a huge area to ski. Easy to get around to other resorts
Hotels Ive stayed in are all fabulous, never been disappointed in any of them. Apres ski good then hotels are busy serving food
Standard of cleanliness anywhere in the area (even tip of mountain) is second to none. Go ride it and see what I mean

Saalbach is one of my favourite ski resorts. You can start the day at the first lift and complete the whole circuit down to Hinterglemm and back by the end of the day, covering both sides of the valley, with a quick trip through Hinterglemm and back up the other side and a stop off for lunch on the way. The pistes are well groomed and normally well covered in snow. Ive never queued at a lift for more than two minutes. The numerous mountain restaurants are fantastic. Really good value and high standards throughout. The apres Ski is legendary. Unpretentious, reasonably priced bars on the descent into the villages, and full of Europeans of every nationality belting out crazy catchy tunes. Theres a huge choice of hotels from basic to super luxury and self catering apartments, though Id say that these are not as in abundance as some resorts. Its a town that seems to sell out its accommodation so that in itself should tell you its popularity. Its accessible by train although youll need a taxi or bus into resort. You can ski other resorts from here with a bus ride or a ski route. For example Zell am Zee and the kitzsteinhorn Glacier. Recently the runs and lifts have linked Fieberbrunn also. All in all a great resort for all.

Spent 2 weeks here during a fairly bleak period of weather, however this did not stop us getting out every single day, the runs were just too good! Definitely highly recommend attempting the ski circus route around the resort, its a brilliant challenge both with skiing and logistics. The accommodation and apres were incredible, we elected to stay in the Adler, it was fantastic, if a little pricey, most evenings were spent in the goat or umbrella bars, two mega watering holes with cheap beers and cocktails!

All in all a fantastic resort, plus the option to hop across to zell am see is always there if you somehow get bored!

slopes suitable for every ability level. Expert riders can take on difficult terrain and thrilling off-piste courses, while beginners can hone their skills on mild slopes. The large ski area is efficiently accessible thanks to modern lift systems.

In addition to skiing, the area provides a wide range of off-mountain pursuits, such as winter hiking, tobogganing, and snowshoeing. There's a vibrant après-ski scene, with bars and comfortable mountain huts offering delicious food and cool drinks. Its pretty much perfect.

Stayed in hinterglemm and skied over to Saalbach. Skiing was ok for us but a couple in group found the grading was a bit off where blues where really difficult reds in parts as now a huge amount of gentle slopes for then even the ones graded blue. Would stay in saalbach I think next time but unlikely to rush back

Been to Saalbach once, had really good skiing there however some days the pistes were reduced to moguls by midday which isnt ideal. Theres a good amount of off piste area to ski and the parks were full of features that cater to all levels.

I have skied in Austria since I could walk. My dad has been going his entire life (Hes about to get a lift named after him)
I am now 20 and I have made friends for life in the local towns - We stay in the same hotel every year & use the free bus to transfer to the ski slopes everyday. The bus is reliable and always on time.

I look forward to the day I can take my children to Austria to meet the people I have met along the way.
I am hoping to do my first ski season in 2025 in the very resort I have spent my whole ski life.
The restaurants on the mountain have a great range of quality & cost but always offer the Austrian classics along side personalised touches. The lift quality is stunning with heated seats and automated bubbles & safety bars. The gondolas are all sit down inside.
I would urge anybody to visit Austria and meet the people there and experience the extensive resort!

I most recently went to this resort right at the end of the season, so that definitely would affect my viewpoint on the resort, but everything seemed pretty good there, with good variation of runs, and excellent lift systems. The food on the mountain is also great and not overpriced, but Id say for more experienced skiers there may be better places and also the links between mountains arent amazing

Saalbach hinterglem Ski Circus is Great for beginners/ family. The fact they advertise as ski circus means they try really hard to keep all runs open so you can ski all the way around, even when there no snow. For quiet runs and fantastic powered fieberbrunn is amazing, lifts are slow but runs are quiet. Connection between isnt fantastic so I would choose whats more important and stay there.

I visited Saalbach in February 2023 and it was one of my best skiing experiences I ever had. The amount and variety of slopes is enormous. I couldn't try all of them because there was just not enough time. I enjoy skiing off-piste and this resort offers good quality of snow and a lot of places where you can find powder. I'm definitely coming back this season.

Wow the biggest linked ski resort in Europe - what can I say I never get bored. The lift passes arent cheap but compre well to other European resorts. Lots of great mountain huts. Great for all stages of learning and star cards on the beginners slopes.
