Rauris is a hidden gem in the Hohe Tauern National Park, offering skiing in a serene natural environment. It's a resort for those who appreciate unspoiled landscapes and peaceful skiing. A unique feature of Rauris is its historic gold mining sites, adding an interesting cultural aspect to your ski trip. Après-ski here is about connecting with nature and enjoying the tranquility. While there aren't many dining options on-site, nearby villages offer traditional Austrian cuisine. We skied here for 1 day of a 6 day trip (bought the supersalzburgerland ski pass - skied 6 resorts in 6 days) fairly small resort, but plenty to keep us busy for the full day. Family of 5, mix of intermediate and advanced skiers. Lovely route over from the blue runs to reds, just a generally nice relaxed resort.
Some lovely wide runs, great conditions, well groomed, nice and quiet compared to other larger resorts we skied during the week.
There is an owl 'mascot which is lovely for the younger children, and you can buy a cuddly toy at the bottom lift ticket office - a nice keepsake.

Have been skiing here with my family since I was little. We have loved going here each year. Great skiing, great people, great food and fab views. Would recommend for anybody looking for a chilled week away with plenty of skiing!
