Rauris is a hidden gem in the Hohe Tauern National Park, offering skiing in a serene natural environment. It's a resort for those who appreciate unspoiled landscapes and peaceful skiing. A unique feature of Rauris is its historic gold mining sites, adding an interesting cultural aspect to your ski trip. Après-ski here is about connecting with nature and enjoying the tranquility. While there aren't many dining options on-site, nearby villages offer traditional Austrian cuisine. If you're seeking a serene and off-the-beaten-path ski experience, Rauris is a wonderful destination.

Great resort for beginners. Compact, with ski school in town so no lift pass required. Few runs so easy to get to know. Easy day trip to Zell and Kaprun too.
