The resort is amazing for beginner / intermediate skiers. There are lots of accessible runs. However it is a little lacking for more advanced skiers.
The area is lovely and the views are incredible. It was also a great place for a long weekend as you could get there very quickly from the airport and the journey was really affordable.
The resort was a little lacking in apres ski opportunities but the bar at the top of the lift was good vibes.

Went on a school trip for £1.5k. 5 day lift pass + instructor. Went from never skiing on slopes before to skiing blues greens and reds. Lunch was nice but not enough vegetarian options.

Just 30 minutes from Innsbruck airport and connected by regular, and free, buses to the city centre, Lizum is not a resort just the hill where Innsbruck locals choose to ski. Modern lifts, a wide range of motorway runs with a few steeps. Good, independent food options, amazing views over the city and decent altitude ensuring a long season.
Would highly recommend for a day or two.
At the end of the day people stay for a beer but go out in town. Theres so much going on in Innsbruck youve no need to stay beside the lift.

I make skitouring, skiing and snowboarding in this resort since 42 years. It is incredible how varied one skiresort can be. You find an endless natural funpark on the one side and steep, adventurous lines on the other side. There are also snowcannons so in not so rich winters you'll find the pistes in good conditions to have fun. This resort is worth the try!

Its a really nice Resort for one or two days. If you want to stay longer, it is maybe a little bit small. The Slopes are nice prepared. There are a lot of opportunities to go off the slopes.

Lovely little resort close to Innsbruck. Fast cable car takes you to the top of the mountain where there are several routes back down as well as a few other smaller lifts. Lots of fun accessible off piste and nice quiet slopes.

Axamer-Lizum isn't huge at all, but has got plenty to offer. My favorite features of it are:
- quite a few really wide and long slopes
- elaborate and well-maintained snow park
- super close to Innsbruck, so if you're in town during the season you just gotta pay a visit
- and since it hosted Olympics, there's also a couple of things you don't really see in every resort, like cool red funicular lift, which leads to the Olympic slope and the huge canteen on the summit with one wall being a giant window which slides open when it's not windy
The rentals are also very accessible! Have fun!
