What Skiers Say About Pal Arinsal

Pal Arinsal attracts predominantly beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and learners making up a significant portion of visitors. The resort is consistently praised for its affordability compared to Alpine destinations, with cheap food, drink, and lift passes mentioned across numerous reviews. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback—while some users report excellent coverage and powder, others note issues with melting snow, icy patches, and warm temperatures, particularly in late season. The ski school earns widespread approval from users at all levels. Advanced skiers and snowboarders find the terrain limited, though the Pal side offers more variety than Arinsal. Après-ski is described as decent but not lively, with a few well-liked bars but limited nightlife overall.

Second annual family trip, excellent resort, perfect for us, 3 careful daughters and one extremely brave grandson.
What a week we had, no queues at the many excellent ski lifts and gondola, perfect snow, no need for the snow cannon, but it was there, ready.
Stunning scenery, every ski lift attendant were helpful and friendly, the runs were perfection, no ice just a squeaky soft base that lasted all day.
Not enough skiers to make a mogul field, but there was one, way up the peak amongst the black runs.
I'll be bringing the family back next year, it was such a great resort, with shops, bars and really good restaurants.
Catering on the hill was perfect, nothing skimped, good gooey hot chocolate, and amazingly cheesy pizza, we did sample the Rustica Restaurant fine dining, which was superb, and affordable.
What a treat, we made some fine memories.

Unreal skiing, so many nice forest runs and jumps littered everywhere. Food was doable, beers only half pints I think. Other than small spenny beer, genuinely unreal place

The ski school is brilliant. After 3 hours each day I made a great amount of progress and improved a lot! There are many blue runs to choose from with various levels of difficulty and mogul fields. Great value for money and a very beginner and family friendly resort. I stayed at a hostel right next to the gondola and got my equipment next door which saved me a lot of time too. Apres ski is lacking at this resort, has some more bar areas for apres but not very lively. But it’s a great place for skiing and was busy but not too busy in December. Would definitely come here again!

We loved Pal Arinsal. It was our first time in Andorra and we’re going back again next year. The town is small so the nightlife is fairly limited but good quality. Food and drink is cheap compared to other resorts we’ve been to.
The slopes themselves were great. Arinsal side is small but would be great for learners and beginners as it’s near impossible to get lost! PAL side was much bigger with more varied terrain and more options for red and black runs.
I would definitely recommend a trip there.

Took my young children here for their first ski holiday and it was perfect! Wide, open slopes - not too challenging and plenty of space for them to learn. Enough ski parks for them to have fun with and the ski schools were great. My youngest went from never having even put a ski on to red runs (generous red vs. other European ratings) by the end of the week. Definitely recommend for young families and/or beginners.

Great village, family friendly (perfect with my twins aged 10), bowling, swimming, games arcade etc. Awesome ski school, lots of Brit instructors, stayed in Arinsal but skiing over in PAL has off piste and tree runs.

Nice resort, interesting alternative to the alps with some good terrain if the snow conditions deliver. Good terrain parks but apres was pretty limited, would be good for a family as a spring ski option as nice and warm too in the valley.

A great budget resort. Limited skiing in Arinsal but pass includes the gondola over to Pal, a larger ski area with tree-lined runs. The ski pass is great value and we found that even if you purchased one or two day passes it still worked out the same cost as if you purchased a six day pass. Great choice of hotels all reasonably priced. Plenty of restaraunts to chose again all reasonably priced. A number of good bars including thr Derry Irish bar and Ciscos. Drinks are well priced and dirt cheap between 4_7pm. Estrella at 2.5 euros and Guiness at 3.5 euros if you go to the right bar. The resort has s nice feel about it and favours those who aren't looking for the thrill of numerous black runs and a really wild apres scene. Best for beginners and intermediates.

Very quiete little resort. Lovely and peaceful with minimal queues for lifts.

Some of the lifts are older and slower but this leads for a very chilled week for skiing.

I learnt to snowboard in arinsal. The school was fantastic and tutors are so experienced. Unfortunately we have never had good weather, usually go in Feb snow is melting and icy patches. The mountains is small so only a few good options for beginners when it is too hot in season.
