What Skiers Say About Le Massif

Le Massif draws predominantly advanced and expert skiers who repeatedly mention the spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River and long, varied runs with strong tree skiing and glade options. Snow quality is frequently praised as better than other eastern Canadian resorts, though late-season icing is noted by several users. The gondola and lift system receives consistent positive feedback for speed and efficiency, with minimal wait times except on powder days or weekends. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for day passes, food, and accommodation, with limited on-hill lodging options outside the Club Med resort. The remote location north of Quebec City is seen as both a drawback for accessibility and a benefit for avoiding crowds.

Beautiful hill. Love the pub in middle of hill. Excellent gondola and lifts with a swipe key. Beautiful view of St. Lawrence. Park at top of hill and ski down to River.

Great resort and no one on the slopes on week days. Après-ski is always fun too. Family friendly and close to Quebec city enough to travel there.

Such a fun hill. It definitely gets your legs working. The hills can be long but there are lots to choose from depending on your level. We did the club med experience so the food was incredible, staff were friendly and helpful and apres was included in the cost. Crowds werent noticed on the hill but there was a bit of a wait at the bottom. No biggie though. Definitely recommend it to intermediate level skiers/riders. I didnt see much for beginners.

Le Massif is a fantastic big mountain resort if you want to stay on the East coast. Theres tons of vertical available and snow is more abundant/higher quality than most east coast resorts.

Good mix of all runs but especially good for more advanced skiing/tree runs. Great views from the entire resort of the St. Lawrence. Would highly recommend to visit at least once. Accommodations can be found for fairly cheap in neighbouring towns.

Le Massif is an awesome ski resort, and I had the best time there! The mountain is huge with a really good variety of runs. As someone whos more advanced, I loved the challenge of some of the steeper, more technical slopes, and there were also some great tree runs. Its perfect for anyone who wants to push themselves, but there are still plenty of trails for all levels.

The views from the top are insane you can see the St. Lawrence River, and it makes the whole experience feel even more epic. Its definitely something that makes Le Massif stand out from other resorts.

The accommodation was amazing too! We stayed at one of the lodges near the mountain, and it was super cozy. The rooms were comfy, and I loved the big windows that looked out at the slopes and the river. After a long day of skiing, the fireplace in the lobby was the perfect spot to relax. The staff members were really friendly and helpful, and everything we needed was just a short walk away. There are also plenty of great places to eat, so youre never too far from a good meal or snacks.

Overall, Le Massif is a great place for a ski trip. The mountain is challenging, the views are stunning, and the accommodation is super comfy. I definitely want to go back!

Ive been there a few times and the mountain for an eastern Canadian ski resort is somehow really good. If you go there on a Power day get Ready because the waiting lines for the lifts are pretty long.
Overall it has good groomed and freeride area, be sure to ask the ski patrol for the deep snow location theyll make sure that you have fun on there property.

Really great resort, probably my favourite on the East Coast.

Highlights:
Tons of vertical to ski and varied terrain, spent two days there and didnt ski all of it.
Great snow conditions. Nothing was icy and there was a ton of snow.
All the lifts and gondola were fast and efficient, spent no time waiting in lines.

Cons:
Lack of on-hill accommodation. There is a resort now but its super pricey, we stayed about 20 minutes away.
Distance from cities. It was almost a ten hour drive from Toronto, would have been much easier to get to Tremblant.

In summary, GO.

Le Massif Ski Resort is a true gem for any skier or snowboarder looking for exhilarating terrain and breathtaking scenery! This place is a paradise for anyone who loves varied, challenging runs combined with jaw-dropping views of the St. Lawrence River, which you can see from almost every slope.

The tree runs and glades are the crown jewels here. Theyre a thrilling blend of natural beauty and adrenaline-pumping fun, winding you through perfectly spaced trees that reward both agility and speed. Le Massifs glades are impeccably designed, giving you a balanced mix of freedom and challenge, with just the right amount of powder on a fresh day to make them magical.

The tight mogul runs are another treat, perfect for anyone looking to test their skills on the bumps. These runs are meticulously placed to push you but are still forgiving enough to keep things fun. Theres a great variety, with some mogul fields more intense than others, so you can really find the rhythm that suits your style and skill level.

For those who crave smooth, fast runs, the groomed slopes are exceptional. The resort clearly puts a lot of care into keeping these runs in top condition, offering consistent snow quality and a well-maintained surface that allows for some speedy carving.

And finally, you just cant beat the stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. Its a surreal experience skiing with the vast, icy river spread out below you. Le Massif is one of those rare resorts that offers not only top-tier skiing terrain but a truly awe-inspiring natural backdrop.

I stayed there for a week and the experience was phenomenal. All the runs are groomed and never ending. You enjoy the variety of the runs and the steepness of each one. All the runs are designed in a way that everyone can enjoy the day depending on your ski level. Also, the staff are so friendly and make sure that you enjoy your ski day safely. The food is amazing and have different variety plus the apres ski is fun. As an overall experience, I would for sure visit again for minimum a week. Great location for skiing and great area.

Probably the best ski resort in the province of Quebec and one of the best in the northeast of the continent. Fantastic snow, great runs, and views that are breathtaking. Very friendly people as well, both employees and guests.

Really nice ski resort, I recommend a lot. I stayed one week in the ski in ski out club med at the bottom of the resort and I had a blast. Even after the rough winter we just had they are still getting lots of snow, perfect for their freeride section. Everybody will find their fun starting from the terrain park to the freeride section or the normal piste.

I went to Le Massof a few years ago, and with good conditions, the hill is great! I wouldn't recommend it to beginners, as it is a massive hill with many connections. However, it's definitely a bucketlist hill for more experienced skiers/snowboarders who are looking for large groomed trails fit for carving.
