What Skiers Say About Le Massif
Le Massif draws predominantly advanced and expert skiers who repeatedly mention the spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River and long, varied runs with strong tree skiing and glade options. Snow quality is frequently praised as better than other eastern Canadian resorts, though late-season icing is noted by several users. The gondola and lift system receives consistent positive feedback for speed and efficiency, with minimal wait times except on powder days or weekends. Reviewers frequently mention high prices for day passes, food, and accommodation, with limited on-hill lodging options outside the Club Med resort. The remote location north of Quebec City is seen as both a drawback for accessibility and a benefit for avoiding crowds.

Good mix of all runs but especially good for more advanced skiing/tree runs. Great views from the entire resort of the St. Lawrence. Would highly recommend to visit at least once. Accommodations can be found for fairly cheap in neighbouring towns.
The views from the top are insane you can see the St. Lawrence River, and it makes the whole experience feel even more epic. Its definitely something that makes Le Massif stand out from other resorts.
The accommodation was amazing too! We stayed at one of the lodges near the mountain, and it was super cozy. The rooms were comfy, and I loved the big windows that looked out at the slopes and the river. After a long day of skiing, the fireplace in the lobby was the perfect spot to relax. The staff members were really friendly and helpful, and everything we needed was just a short walk away. There are also plenty of great places to eat, so youre never too far from a good meal or snacks.
Overall, Le Massif is a great place for a ski trip. The mountain is challenging, the views are stunning, and the accommodation is super comfy. I definitely want to go back!

Overall it has good groomed and freeride area, be sure to ask the ski patrol for the deep snow location theyll make sure that you have fun on there property.
Highlights:
Tons of vertical to ski and varied terrain, spent two days there and didnt ski all of it.
Great snow conditions. Nothing was icy and there was a ton of snow.
All the lifts and gondola were fast and efficient, spent no time waiting in lines.
Cons:
Lack of on-hill accommodation. There is a resort now but its super pricey, we stayed about 20 minutes away.
Distance from cities. It was almost a ten hour drive from Toronto, would have been much easier to get to Tremblant.
In summary, GO.
The tree runs and glades are the crown jewels here. Theyre a thrilling blend of natural beauty and adrenaline-pumping fun, winding you through perfectly spaced trees that reward both agility and speed. Le Massifs glades are impeccably designed, giving you a balanced mix of freedom and challenge, with just the right amount of powder on a fresh day to make them magical.
The tight mogul runs are another treat, perfect for anyone looking to test their skills on the bumps. These runs are meticulously placed to push you but are still forgiving enough to keep things fun. Theres a great variety, with some mogul fields more intense than others, so you can really find the rhythm that suits your style and skill level.
For those who crave smooth, fast runs, the groomed slopes are exceptional. The resort clearly puts a lot of care into keeping these runs in top condition, offering consistent snow quality and a well-maintained surface that allows for some speedy carving.
And finally, you just cant beat the stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. Its a surreal experience skiing with the vast, icy river spread out below you. Le Massif is one of those rare resorts that offers not only top-tier skiing terrain but a truly awe-inspiring natural backdrop.
This resort is probably closest skiing to West.
