What Skiers Say About Mt St Louis-Moonstone

Mt St Louis-Moonstone is frequently visited by beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders from the Greater Toronto Area, with many reviews highlighting it as a local alternative to Blue Mountain. The most consistent positive theme is the resort's snowmaking capability, with numerous users noting reliable snow coverage even when nearby resorts struggle. Reviewers repeatedly mention modern, fast chairlifts including a new heated 8-person lift, well-groomed runs, and quality terrain parks suitable for various skill levels. Common criticisms include short run length typical of Ontario hills, high food prices, crowding on weekends particularly during school holidays, and expensive lift tickets relative to the limited vertical. Several reviewers note the lack of on-site accommodation and distant parking as drawbacks.

As a small resort in Ontario, Mt. St. Louis Moonstone is a fantastic resort for families and beginners learning how to ski/snowboard for the first time. While the amount of skiable acres is small, it's still a great resort to learn and improve your on-piste riding or park riding.

If you come early they got some really nice groomed runs and they always have a good terrain park full of features. They usually have a park for all levels of park skiing so if youre learning park or just learning skiing/snowboarding in general this place is great, its very versatile for all levels of experience. They take really good care of their mountain and have good people working there.

Mount st-Louis Moonstone is a great beginner place. They made me feel very comfortable when learning how to ski. The bunny hills are very small and geared towards children/beginners, which works for my family. The resort itself is very family friendly.

MSLM is my hometown hill, the terrain park is incredible and for the overall small size of the hill, the variety is enough to keep even an expert entertained!

The mountain is the best spot in the area for freestyle riders. They boast the best terrain parks in the province. A closer drive to Toronto than many other ontario resorts makes this mountain an easy day trip for the family. The new 8 person lift has been added to reduce wait times on the hill. There are limited accommodations and dining options at the mountain itself, but larger towns/cities are nearby for these options. This also mean limited night life on the mountain but with night skiing you can spend you time on the slopes instead.

I have had their season pass for the past two seasons now. Definitely a great resort that is not too far from the main city. I enjoy my rides there. It is where
I first learned how to snowboard. The only problem I have is since it is really popular there are always a lot of people.
