What Skiers Say About Mt St Louis-Moonstone

Mt St Louis-Moonstone is frequently visited by beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders from the Greater Toronto Area, with many reviews highlighting it as a local alternative to Blue Mountain. The most consistent positive theme is the resort's snowmaking capability, with numerous users noting reliable snow coverage even when nearby resorts struggle. Reviewers repeatedly mention modern, fast chairlifts including a new heated 8-person lift, well-groomed runs, and quality terrain parks suitable for various skill levels. Common criticisms include short run length typical of Ontario hills, high food prices, crowding on weekends particularly during school holidays, and expensive lift tickets relative to the limited vertical. Several reviewers note the lack of on-site accommodation and distant parking as drawbacks.

I believe it is the best bang for your buck in the area. Even though its not as amazing as some resorts in different areas, it does really well for the terrain Mother Nature gave it. I have been skiing and snowboarding here for about 5 years now and think its the best spot nearby.

Decent hill for the price, though not much height or terrain. Good groomed runs, but zero tree skiing or powder. Pretty good lifts and wait times, not as busy and Blue Mountain.

Go where the snow is is really correct, They make real snow and a tone of it.
The snow is the same as mother nature, no hard packed blue powder as they have drains on the hill.
The lifts are so fast and the new heated 8 pack is amaizing.
I love skiing there as it is the best in Ontario, for just riding.

A smaller quiet hill. the main attraction is the Terrain park which if you are interested is quite good compared to other Ontario hills. Decent value however, there is very little diversity in the runs available.

Great place to ski/snowboard in Ontario Canada, smaller than Blue Mountain but the parks are much better. Not much around to go eat/drink after or even within the resort.

I went there as a snowboarder with a skier and the terrain park was probably the best out of any of the resorts I've been to, the lifts to the top were speedy too and very comfortable but directions were confusing and there wasn't alot of staff around to ask for help and for such a big resort the lodge was farly small for the amount of people in it.

Mt St Louis-Moonstone is a solid ski resort, and definitely the best in its area. The Junkyard Park is amazing for intermediate park skiers, and the Skool Yard is perfect for anybody trying to learn park basics. Both sides of the mountain have good runs as well.

Best snow making in Ontario. Probably the only resort in ON where youre sure not to ski on ice. Groomed runs galore with not off piste or tree runs available. The real gem of the freestyle terrain parks! Multiple skill level parks available with a top notch crew that knows how to build em big and safe. Great place to progress.

Fair warning, this slope can get extremely busy in the weekend afternoons. The high speed lifts definitely help move people around but expect crowded runs. Fresh morning hot laps are the way to get your value!

MSLM has always been one of the go to spots for me and my friends when we want to hit the park. We always warm up on the front face hill then run laps of the park all day. The hill is also very beginner friendly for skiers of all ages.

One of the closest ski hills to Toronto. New top notch snow machines keep this hill open later than most in the area. Runs are fairly short and great for learning/novices. The terrain park however is world class, and a must see for anyone looking for big air and challenging rails.

This was a great place to go late in the season. They had lots of snow. The beginners park was great for my kids. Lifts were fast, efficient, heated seats and everything. Will definitely be going back.

Mount St Luis moonstone is such an awesome resort, especially when it comes down to how hard they pushed to keep snow on the hills as long as possible. Many resorts including Blue mountain hard very little snow and runs open, however MSLM did not struggle this way. They had all 38 runs open 90% of the year, and the snow was amazing. Such a special place.

The ski resort is very beginner friendly, personally had great time swapping from skiing to snowboarding as hills were easy to learn on as well moving up in hill size, the lifts wait times went by fast and the food served is good.

Experience the 8ppl chairlift. The park features are nice. It can get busy during the weekends. The food there is decent. Very family friendly at the beginner zones where they have magic carpets and slow lifts.

This is one of the nicest ski area in ontario. I know that there are bigger and wider hills but for a family owned resort and well maintained this trumps it all. The experience that you get is amazing. Also, no line ups and not crowded like other resorts. I consider it as my winter home. The staff are friendly and helpful. They make sure that you enjoy your day without any issues. Great place to be in.

Mt. St.Louis Moonstone is great place to go in Ontario with lots of options. You even have access to the world's first heated eight seat chair lift. They always make a ton of snow through out the night making the overall experience even better. I would 100% recommend getting a season pass to go there.
