The Skiers' Guide to Horseshoe Resort

The hills are not that steep it’s good for beginner skiers but more advanced may find it boring and repetitive. They have a nice hotel and spa. They have great snow tubing and other activities off the hill.

Quiet ski resort, great for families mostly green and blue runs. Has night skiing and tubing as well! Option to stay on site, in hotel or condo type lodging.

Personally found hills rated too low for their steepness. Moving from Beginner hills to Green is a big jump

Good family friendly resort a short distance from Toronto (1 hour drive). Great ski school for adults and children. Mostly groomed runs, with a decent park section. Crazy Horse Saloon, which is the restaurant/bar in the main chalet has a happy hour (2-5PM) with drink and food specials. This is also the location for any apres ski activities (i.e. live bands, etc.)

Decent mid sized resort for South Central Ontario. Not as crowded as Blue and close to Barrie which has may dining, entertainment and accommodation options.

Being a beginner, I found the quality of the beginner slopes perfect for me. Not overcrowded, and great value.

Great Resort. Tonnes of amenities. No lift lines, many run options! Grooming was excellent, no off piste or glade runs

Great beginner friendly hill! Never too busy either which is nice. And having 4 lifts means it’s pretty quick to get back up to the top.

Awesome place. Great hills for ontario. Nice snow and good park. I grew up here. Super sick place with a nice chalet.

Had a great experience, did both day and night skiing which was great. Value for money was good. Not all chairlifts were open but the ones that were had little to no lines

Beautiful views from the chalet. Lots of parking. Accommodation is excellent. Lots of runs. Ice skating rink.

Absolutely loved my experience at Horseshoe! From friendly staff, prime rental equipment, and beyond well groomed slopes, it was an amazing time for a sister trip!

There are many runs to chose from. From beginner to advanced you will find you have great options. The ski in to chalets and restaurants is amazing Really enjoyed the fire pits and muskoka chairs

Horseshoe Resort is one of the best family oriented ski resorts in Ontario. Situated 1h drive north from Toronto you getting buck for a value. Either you want to go by yourself, with friends or family Horseshoes Resorts its perfect for any skier or snowboarder.

My family and I would go to Horseshoe valley once a year the hills were amazing and you could still ski/snowboard at night which was super cool. The food was great and when you were done and wanted to relax they had an outdoor heated pool and hot tub or indoor to soak in! We love Horseshoe

Great for beginners and families. Small enough to build confidence and big enough to feel like a full ski resort experience.

My favorite resort. I belong to The Heights of Horseshoe which is the private club across the street!

Great resort for families and young children. Staff is very friendly, and helpful. Reasonable rates for accommodation, and food. We will be back.

Horseshoe resort is a great family friendly hill with lots of nice runs spread evenly across the resort. They also have tubing and skating (weather and conditions permitting) and a spa nearby for all types of activities. Great for day trips or to stay a weekend

it was actually my firstime going to Horseshoe resort this past weekend and was a very enjoyable time. groomed runs were amazing as well as the fast lift times and my favorite the tree runs. For a local ski hill not too far from the city it was very enjoyable and definitely an experience worth checking out for the beginner and even intermediate as well as experienced riders! overall i would definitely recommend horseshoe resort
