It is a nice family ski hill. Not too big or too many runs but enough for a lot of fun on a day trip, especially for beginners:) they also have night tubing which was super fun!

We stayed at horseshoe Valley last year with a Ski and Stay package which offered night skiing the day we check into the hotel and full 9-9 skiing the following day. Hill was well groomed runs were enjoyable. Hotel was wonderful hot tub, pool. Restaurants were good. Well priced. Booking again for this season to return.

Gone here a couple times as its more affordable, but that also means it gets a little more busy as well compared to other resorts. It can be quiet at times though which is nice and the slopes are decently groomed. Its surrounded by a couple of good areas as well and is fantastic for families as well! Overall a well rounded resort, the hills arent too difficult which makes it great for any beginners and intermediate skiers or snowboarders.

Nice cozy local resort. Not a ton of runs but they do keep them interesting. Snow is always well groomed and allows long swooping carves.

Its never really super busy which is nice being able to get a ton of runs in!

Terrain parks are super cool, they had a boxzilla one year and then a snow cross course with rails and jumps incorporated into it!

Price of tickets are reasonable as well.

Great place to learn as there are not a lot of intimidating runs!

Horseshoe is alright, food is okay, but I have heard that they dont pay their stay well. Also when I was in the restaurant I saw the GM boss the servers around like there wasnt any other guests there but the hills are great, the breakfast cook is awesome.

Great atmosphere, music and dinning options. Some flat spots which are not great for snowboarding but the whole experience was great.

Horseshoe is a great resort for when you want to learn how to ski/snowboard. The hills are groomed for the most part, but a lot of them are always closed. The staff are also amazing and very helpful for anything you need!

Horse shoe is a great resort for beginners and intermediate skiers. Cool little mini-chairlift for beginners to get up the bunny hill quickly without the magic carpet.
Runs are well groomed and spacious; staff are friendly and helpful. Resort offers group and private lessons. Very family friendly and not too rowdy.

Very small and limited hill. Expensive for the day. Rare hill close to Toronto. Better off going to Quebec for a weekend.

I visited this resort a couple of weeks ago for the first time, and it was a great experience. The staff was super friendly. I stayed at the Inn for the night, and the room was very comfortable. The slopes were nicely groomed, and the lifts were not as busy as I expected. I loved the variety of runs they had, and their greens were not boring at all. They even had a nice bunny hill for beginners or those who needed a quick warm-up before conquering the bigger slopes. I highly recommend this resort.

Horse shoe valley resort in my opinion in a pretty bad place to go if you know how to snowboard, its more for beginners. The slopes are god awful and the food is even worst. If you need to buy food while there forget about it because it costs wayyyy too much. The school they have there to teach you is not the worst but could definitely be better. Definitely needs sole upgrades for the price they charge.

Resort close to Toronto that is good for beginners and advanced skiers and boarders. Can't compare to resorts out west like black comb or Banff. Can't compare to mt Tremblant. Good for Ontario.

I love going to Horseshoe Resort. I was able to learn how to snowboard easily on their blue runs. I take all my friends there and will soon be taking my daughter there to learn to ski or snowboard. I am actually going this weekend to celebrate my 34th birthday there as well! The staff is super friendly, and equipment rental is easy. Everything about it provides a great experience! The pricing could be a little better overall however, the value is still there for what you pay for.
