Kicking horse is a crown jewel for anyone that is advanced or professional. Tons of powder, technical runs and incredible terrain that definitely makes it worth while. Maybe not the most amazing mountain for someone that is a beginner or intermediate given the rugged and steep terrain but definitely worth hitting if you feel comfortable enough. Lots to love about kicking horse despite the mediocre lift system and the somewhat sketchy ride to the mountain itself, regardless of that Id rank it easily in the top 3 mountains to ski in Canada!

Great mountain to really dig your edges in and get some fun in the tight chutes and natural side hits with champagne pow everhwhere

Favourite resort to ski at. Very tough terrain and some spots on the mountain are hard to get to which leaves lots of untouched terrain.

Great resort to ski as a different spot to SKi Big 3. More aligned to European resorts than Canadian

Kicking Horse is my favorite ski hill in Canada. There is so much advanced terrain to explore. You can almost always find powder if you don't mind hiking the ridges of the resort.

Hands down, the best resort I have ever been to. Amazing pisted routes that let you gain a grasp of the mountain as a beginner and help you build up confidence to work up to the bigger slopes. One main gondola from the base (max I ever waited was 20 minutes and this was a holiday weekend after lunch) which will take you right to the top and from here you can follow a green highway which gives you access to every type of skiing possible. Nice greens and blues with amazing views, challenging blacks through trees and valleys, technical blacks through steep mogul fields, laid back and wide open pisted tracks to take in the stunning views. If you are looking for a proper challenge and access to the next step the Stairway to Heaven lift will give you access to 2 other peaks and a brand new bowl, please be aware this lift should not be taken by unsure skiers as the only way down is via a black run. Once you are comfortable with this side of the resort get your hiking boots on and head to Terminator and T2. I wont spoil any of the magic with you but bring snacks, water, and a good group of pals :)

Best tree runs Ive done are here. Great for intermediate & expert riders as its mostly bowls. Only a great option on a powder day!

Anybody that's truly explored and expierenced Kickinghorse would agree that it's the black sheep of all Canadian resorts, in a good way. It's a total badass and offers terrain incomparable to anything else in BC. Lift lines are manageable and snow is always wicked.

A fun and challenging resort, especially if you want to hike for your turns or are into ski touring.

Really great ski resort! Not too far from Golden if you decide to stay out there. This is a relatively steep mountain face with a few friendly runs for beginners. Most groomed runs are quite rocky and have lots of traffic so be aware of that. Given the difficulty of how steep some runs are, it allows beginners to really push themselves! But theres so many runs to try out. Tree runs are really unique and cool, lots to explore!
