Les 2 Alpes: High Altitude Without the High Prices

Choosing a ski holiday can feel like a balancing act. Your budget, snow reliability, terrain variety, après-ski, accessibility, and value for money all matter.

The Snomad community ratings show that Les 2 Alpes ticks every box. Scoring an impressive 4.17/5.00 in the value-for-money category, it offers the highest-altitude skiing in France without the high prices. Here’s why it’s one of Europe’s best-value resorts.

1. High Altitude Fun

Altitude & Terrain: With a maximum elevation of 3,600m and a 2,300m vertical drop across 220km of pistes, Les 2 Alpes is among Europe’s snowiest and most varied ski areas.

Runs for All Levels:

Beginner – 16 runs (Rated 4.21/5.00)

Intermediate – 46 runs (4.08/5.00)

Advanced – 17 runs (4.09/5.00)

Expert – 10 runs (4.00/5.00)

Snow-sure destination: With over 75% of runs above 2,000m, conditions stay reliable throughout the season.

Europe's largest skiable glacier: Enjoy skiing from November to July in an upside-down resort with an abundance of wide, gentle blue runs even at the highest altitudes. The unique layout allows all levels to explore the entire mountain and enjoy breathtaking views typically reserved for expert skiers.

All of this comes at a fantastic price. A 6-day adult lift pass costs €326,50, compared with €409 in the 3 Valleys. That’s serious savings for top-tier terrain.

There's even crew and family passes which can save you further money. Booking with your group saves you some serious cash.

Modern tech doing heavy lifting: The star of numerous upgrades to the lift system is the new Jandri, which transports 3000 people per hour from 1,650m to 3,200m. The journey takes less than 20 minutes, massively reducing early-morning queues and allowing you to ski more km per day, enhancing value for money even further.
