Mount Snow is the closest real mountain to both New York and Boston so gets busy. Weekends can be very busy. Weekdays much less so. Snow making is excellent and there has been some strong investment in new lifts on the main face. Best skiing is the north face with old lifts. Resort has boundary to boundary skiing so a surprising amount of tree skiing.
It gets cold so prepare accordingly!

Nice smaller mountain. Limited terrain but good for what the mountain is working with. Nice ski in ski out options.

Great experience. Lift lines were long but the turns were worth it. Please add more fire pits outside!!

Amazing terrain park, a good mix between advanced terrain and beginners terrain across the mountain

Grooming crew usually does a great job with what they have to work with. Trees can be really fun with enough snow. Often icy (East Coast skiing!). Can be crowded on popular weekends. The bubble on the Bluebird chair is a lifesaver on cold and windy days.

Great mountain, long trail rides. Awesome terrine park. Long trail rides and very good vibe with other skiers and snowboarders.

The best hours at Mount Snow are the earliest of the dayclose parking, short lift lines, well-groomed and uncrowded runs. The later the day gets, the longer the lines become and the conditions deteriorate. On weekends and holidays, the runs get dangerously crowded with skiers and snowboarders whose abilities neither match the conditions nor the trails theyre on.
On-mountain victuals are expensive and unremarkable in terms of variety and quality. The best restaurant is in the new (ish) Carinthia lodge. If you like pizza, the main base lodge offers (pricey) fresh pies. For the kids, standard fareburgers, fries, chicken fingers.
If youre seeking adult beverages during the day, the Bullwheel in the summit lodge is boisterous but dont expect to find a table. Cuzzins in the base lodge has a rollicking apres scene. If you prefer off-mountain fare, venture a few miles south down Route 100 to Snow Republic Brewery (owned by a Marine, hence the decor and ambiance).
In general, visitors will generally find good skiing and conditions at Mount Snow, which explains why it is often overcrowded.

Mount Snow Vermont is one of gems of Southern Vermont!
Good weekend crowds and plenty of varied terrain allow a little bit of everything for most skiers and riders to fill their souls with for any given weekend. A true classic Vermont ski area well sought after by thousands of guest each day!

Great option for a short trip from NYC or Boston areas. Good amount of terrain and mountains ability to work despite northeast weather.

Mount Snow is the closest big mountain to mass/ct so it tends to be very crowded. Early morning or lunch time are your best bet. The live music and walk up brewery are awesome for apres ski. Lots of restaurants around and snow republic brewery is always a hit.
