Great little mountain close to Burlington Vermont, differing terrain, very family-friendly, only negative is that there is a lot of uphill walking from parking lots to lodges/lifts

Bolton Valley is an amazing gem in Vermont. The perfect antidote to the era of the Big Resort. Really interesting terrain for all kinds of skiers/boarders and their interests.

Great employees, food and very reasonable in price.
While there are many guests (usually at night) that are insolent, rude and know little about mountain etiquette, the staff is great and attentive when addressed.
Food is very very good and reasonable too, particularly when compared to other local mountains.
While the parking lot can be a bit scary on a snowy day, the road in was paved recently, SO YAY!
Catch the wilderness lift on a pow day and enjoy!

Very nice family owned resort. I enjoy the night skiing there and the beautiful views at the top of the mountain. Its an inexpensive mountain, so you really get your moneys worth.

I love Bolton, one of the last family owned resorts in Vermont, and it is well loved in the community! Fuck Vale!

We hit it during a major storm. It's was AWESOME! Powder in the trees as well as open terrain. The accommodations 9n the mou tain were very good as was the pub. Bolton also offers night skiing. A must go!

Aside from the beaten and chaotic mud parking lot, Bolton is a charming local resort that has some amazing terrain plus some of the only night skiing in Vermont. The tree runs here are amazing, but I have skied mostly at night, where the groomed runs are limited. Definitely cool to be able to ski after work and have some real trails to tackle, they just get old as there are so few. This resort is awesome for beginners especially considering the price of a half day ticket here is a steal. The terrain is great for manageable increases of difficulty for people learning and improving at skiing. Being at the highest base elevation in VT, Bolton gets snow when others get rain. The views from the top are incredible; Lake Champlain, Mount Mansfield, and Camels Hump, are visible in a trifecta that cannot be found elsewhere.

Im only here on 2 weekdays, but heres my take: nice small VT mountain. They dont make much snow, so skiing is really at the mercy of the snow gods. While we were there a full 1/3 of the mountain was closed during Feb vacation week. Unfortunately I think that included some of the more challenging runs. But the runs that were open were great New England conditions. There are a LOT of rental places nearby to stay. One bummer is the lifts are old and quite slow. This mountain would be perfect if you have young children or beginner skiersthere is a whole section of the mountain cris-crossed with green runs. They have night skiing on those runs most of the week. The prices are unbeatable.
