Waterville Valley is a great family friendly resort. Its one of the last truly independent resorts. They have a good grooming team and lift lines are not very long. WV has a good mix of runs , but mostly groomed trails. There are bigger resorts out there with more amenities, but for friendliness, a good range of trails that are great for a family, it cant be beat. Its a good value too.

Waterville is such a great east-coast option for families and kids that want to have a great time riding the mountain. Waterville has excellent beginner and intermediate options with 'The Pasture', 'Lower Meadows', 'Valley Run' and 'Stillness'. For black-diamond terrain, Waterville offers some of the best wide-trail, fall-line skiing in the east. Waterville has a great culture about the mountain, being laid-back, family friendly, and has always supported the comp-side of the snow-industry as well. Lastly, the "Freestyle Lounge" is the perfect place to grab a drink at the end of the day, and a hot cocoa for the kids. If you've skied waterville in years past, a lot has changed. Be sure you check it out!

FAV EAST COAST MOUNTAIN! Will always keep coming back for more- best tree runs in Nh - where I gained all my confidence skiing and my love for this sport sky rocketed after my first visit here. Friendly workers, short lift lines, and awesome atmosphere. I love the hut in the woods with the little jump :)

Waterville Valley is a phenomenal place to visit. The mountain has a great family appeal with the endless offerings of ski school and lessons for the ones still learning. The terrain is always great, from the groomers to the trees, to even some spots of untouched powder sometimes. The lift operators do a great job keeping lifts spinning adding in trivia and music to keep the lift lines entertaining on the packed days. They have also revamped the food options this year to less of cafeteria style food to a variety of new options. The park crew does a great job with pop up parks throughout as well as a crazy boarder-cross track at the top of the mountain! Catch this place on a powder day or a groomer day, either way you wont regret going!
