Whitefish Mountain Resort (MT) Review Summary

Whitefish Mountain Resort attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders, with a smaller contingent of intermediates. Reviewers consistently praise the tree skiing, low lift queues (particularly on weekdays), reasonable pricing, and friendly staff. The terrain park and night skiing options receive positive mentions. However, fog is a recurring complaint, significantly affecting visibility and the overall experience. Lift reliability issues, particularly with newer lifts, are mentioned by multiple users. Some reviewers note that the resort can become crowded during holidays, though most describe it as uncrowded compared to other North American resorts.

This mountain has a lot of terrain however it can be foggy and that can make or break your trip not to mention the amount of people. As of the last time I went 2023-2024 season the only way to get to most of the terrain was to take a lift to another lift to the top because their new high-speed quad was broken, and after talking to locals there o learned that it was open maybe two or three weekends of the season. It didn't really affect the trip that much but I waited in line for the first two lifts for around an hour. The view from the top is amazing and there are lots of terrain types.

No matter the conditions there will be terrain here to offer a wonderful day of skiing. This resort offers a small town resort feel while delivering terrain that any rider would find enjoyable.

The resort is an overall excellent location, with all types of skiing available. The ski school will move along to slowly for my taste, as they will hesitate to take you on blues. I would still recommend skiing for anyone who doesnt want to break the bank and have a good time on some great terrain.

Its a solid resort, but in recent years has become over crowed and the amenities arent able to accommodate everything. With that said, if skiing and a cheap beer is your speed. This is the way to go

If you are looking for a true Montana ski experience, look no further than Whitefish Mountain Resort. Not only are the locals and resort staff very friendly, there is over 3000 acres of non-crowded skiing to be had. From the summit of the mountain, you can ski in any direction but my suggestion is to head to the backside where you are presented with beautiful views of Glacier National Park. Lift tickets are still under $100 per day for an adult which is an anomaly these days and everything else on mountain is very reasonably priced as well. Skip the long lift lines in Colorado/Utah/California and head to Whitefish for a great time on the slopes!
