Way too expensive for size of resort. Plus a third of the place was closed. Because of this lift lines were 15 to 30 minutes. The place is fine otherwise. Not steep, no real black diamonds. Good green and blue groomers.

Alton Alps was a great starting point for a beginner like me. The instructors were extremely patient which I appreciated a lot since I did struggle a fair bit. The gradual slope progression and well-maintained equipment were also very helpful. The views were beautiful as well. Overall, I would recommend anybody new to snowboarding to go to the Afton Alps.
