Boyne Mountain resort my opinion is by far the best ski resort available in the Midwest. They have extensive snow making and usually have the longest midwest ski season starting first and ending last. They have many chairlifts, including high speed eight person chairlift. The grooming is excellent, but there is also ungroomed challenging runs, tree, and Glade skiing, and some secret powder stashes. Ski patrol is ranked as one of the best. He can get a bit busy on a Saturday, but the many chairlifts helped to disperse the crowd across the over 400 acres of terrain. The appraise ski scene and dining options, including more economical family friendly areas are excellent. For the non-skiers or for the skiers went off the slopes there is Michigans biggest indoor waterpark with a surfing wave machine some super slides, a lazy river and family splash areas as well as mega jet, big spa pools. There is zip lines,, snow, bikes,, moon, bikes, cross, country skiing, smores fire pits, igloo dining areas, and the biggest timber frame suspension bridge in the world. In short, Boyne Mountain resort has something for everybody.

Revisited Boyne after 10 years and was pleasantly surprised. Went in the middle of the week and there was never a wait at the lifts! It snowed every day I was there and the slopes were amazing. Only downside was the main trick park was closed due to a Redbull event.

Boyne has been a family destination for me and my family since I was just a kid! Family friendly, great ski schools, affordable rentals and fantastic staff. I love this area and the hill is still peaceful while being a great day trip for many people in the Michigan and surrounding area. The resort lodging has always been great and I have fond memories of the indoor outdoor pool as a child being so much fun after a long ski day. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who is just beginning up to a more advanced intermediate or advanced skier!

Boyne mountain had a rough year because a lack of snow. Big credit to the resort team they managed to keep the place open till April 20th which I believe was the latest closing of any resort in the Midwest.. they've invested heavily in high speed lifts and although the runs are short they are challenging. I believe it's a great place for families and beginners as well. They have a great water park on site. And many many choices for food and beverage.

Boyne is an awesome resort for lower Michigan (Not in the UP). The lifts are very efficient and fast, and the runs are very well maintained.

Boyne mountain is a great location for skiers of all levels, and a very accommodating and friendly resort. The on site shops and dining are phenomenal for when youre not on the slopes. The mountain has many runs that were exceptionally groomed, and fun areas for more advanced skiers as well. The water park is also a great addition to the facility and a must try!!
