Took a weeklong trip after a storm, snow was true champagne powder. Shuttles take hotel guests from the hotel to downtown for free and was an awesome night life on the weekends. Tree runs are unmatched amazing mix of aspen and pine trees. Lift network was very modern and easy to navigate. Christmas tree bowl is the best run on the mountain by far.

As a first time skier, I appreciated the low staffing ratios of the ski school and how the greens were not limited to one small portion of the mountain. For the people in my group with more experience, there were still plenty of blues and blacks. The snow was good quality, very little ice.

Hands down the best all around mountain in Colorado. The tree skiing is unreal, you don’t get day trippers and the apres is so fun. Sometimes the gondola line gets lengthy but they’re pretty efficient about it.

Went for a bachelor party. Was a great spot for spring skiing. The base village has grown considerably since I was last there with good bars for apres. Hosted a large concert at the base. Snow and mountain were great for all levels. Lots of groomers. Not busy at all.

The best tree runs in the world!

When Steamboat gets powder it is so light and fluffy. The resort lifts connect the two sides of the mountain so easily.

I absolutely love Steamboat. They always have the best snow and a variety of terrain for all levels. The base is beautifully appointed and there is ample lodging close to the mountain and in town. The lifts are updated and there are never very many long lines. I really appreciate the new ways they did the gondolas where you do not need to walk on concrete and take your skiis off to get on.

There is a large selection of food in different places on the mountain and in the village. Steamboat also has one of the best bus systems of any resort allowing you to stay pretty much anywhere and get access to the mountain.

Besides the mountain steamboat also has two hot springs that you can visit during your trip making the perfect evening relaxation spot.

2 gondolas move skiers/boarders up the mountain swiftly. Several different peaks to ski from. Most have a choice of blue and black so groups can split up and meet at the lift. Good food on the mountain but seating is crowded during peak lunch time. Base has good apres-ski and bus service to downtown is excellent!!

The boat, its legendary for a reason. Off the beaten path and away from the I70 craziness, Steamboat is a hidden gem. Some of the best skiing/boarding in Colorado. Theres even a taco truck on a snowcat, how can you beat that?!

Steamboat is extremely beginner friendly if youre new to skiing. It offers a wide variety of terrain whether youre new to skiing or an expert. There is a general sense of acceptance here that I dont think you can find anywhere else. One of my favorite resorts.

steamboat is a great family mtn. there are some steeps in & out of bounds, long fun cruisers, and of course, our champaigne powder! i moved there in the early '90's, obviously things change but 'you just gotta poke around' and youll find ian incredible local community. its less of a ranching town these days but if you drive out of town 5min anyway you find ranchers!

The mountain is huge, the main gondola took 15min to the top(might be a slight exaggeration). the runs were open and had great views and they always had a way to transfer from one run to another. Only complaint was i wish there were more maps so i didnt have to ski-walk 100ft.

Lots of acreage, great trees, high snowfall totals. Fun mountain and town, lots to do, lots of amenities and friendly people.

Downsides are long lift lines and no extreme terrain, if you're into that sort of thing. More of a family friendly resort.

Steamboat is absolutely beautiful. There is no waiting to get on lifts. The terrain is fantastic with pockets of fresh powder even at the end of the day. Lots of accomodation and free buses to help you get around. Make sure you go downtown to experience the wonderful atmosphere. Strawberry Hot Springs are magical.

Steam Boat Springs offer a wide variety of terrain for all skiers/snowboarders, whether its a long groomed run that goes from the top to to bottom to maximum vert. To the tough chutes and Christmas tree bowl for the experts. In my opinion Stream Boat has the best terrain compared to many of the resorts Ive been to and offers lots of beautiful views of the Rockys. On top of this youll find it hard to get stuck in line with their vast amounts of lifts and gondolas that get you to the top of the mountain as quickly as possible. Theres ton of food options at the base and if you go to mid mountain you can find yourself a nice bowl of hot chili on the coldest of days. This is Steam Boat Springs and I believe it is one of the top mountains in the Rockys.
