Breck is wide, but not very deep. It climbs high onto the peaks of the Tenmile range and traverse laterally from Peak 5 to 10, meaning navigation is all traversing sideways across the resort to get from one base area to the next. This gives the effect of a large feeling resort, but in truth the vertical only becomes significant if one takes multiple lifts to the high alpine bowl terrain, which can often become wind-swept and crusty unless conditions are just right. The town is great, and nightlife is always lively on the weekends. But for pure skiing, Breck is not the best in the game.

Great mountain! I am not a very strong snowboarder (grew up in SC and only went once a year) and was worried slopes would be too hard, but definitely had a wide range of difficulty and didn’t feel too intimidated! Got a little lost on some parts because there are some really long runs, but such beautiful scenery! Can get crazy busy and everything is expensive (per usual for a US slope though). Overall would recommend for a fun trip!

Breckenridge is a fun town to visit for skiing. The mountain leaves some to desire due to the crowds and lift lines. If you can find a quiet area it's great. There's plenty of entertainment and food and lodging all around. Overall on the pricey side

It’s been a mild winter so expectations were low. Can’t control weather. But lifts were efficient. Lots of runs open despite snow. I’ve been to Breckenridge many times and it has improved over the years. Town and food is great. Pricey, but it’s something to enjoy once or twice a year.

I’ve been several times and always have an overall fine experience but need more maintenance on the slopes

First time in US fab skiing but low on snow this year. Be prepared for the altitude I'm fit and took a while to acclimatise. Great wide and well groomed pistes. Town is beautiful but nobody does apres as well as the Europeans.

Breckenridge has wide open slopes which is great for beginners or riders wanting to improve on carving or edge control. Apres ski is non existent against European standards of apres.

Unfortunately when we visited they had the worst start to a season for years. Having said that the majority of the slopes were well maintained. The resort is pretty pricey and the lifts are slow compared to the modern alps lifts. It’s been a good experience but we will stick to Europe from now on.

Went on 1/26. With the low snow we've gotten in Colorado this season, I didn't expect it to be great, but it was better than expected. The slopes were rather empty, and surprisingly, there were some runs that had some fresh powder, but moguls and trees had very low coverage.
Accommodations and lifts were good, as usual at Breck. With the lower attendance, lift lines were almost nonexistent. Definitely recommend a visit, but if you don't want to scrape up your skis, I'd stick to groomed blues/greens.

A family favorite. Plenty of space, varying skill terrain for my family of skiers at various levels. Given Brecks elevation, snow conditions were a little better here than some of the surrounding mountains. Overall, a lot of options and resources that fit everyone’s likes!

This place is pretty good, very family friendly and kind of crowded. Due to a snow drought during the 2025-2026 ski season, a lot of the snow is made. Their runs are great and as a returning customer, the non-open runs are very enjoyable. I highly recommend going in here if you have the time and money and for the smallest lines I recommend going during the weekdays

Breckenridge is a HUGE resort and my home mountain. The abysmal snowfall keeps the cats on their toes and groomers are on it! Off trail stuff is iffy and keep your head on a swivel, getting better with recent 8" snowfall. Good time to sharpen up w/ a lesson. Buses/shutles/gondola keeps you going to and fro for the towns shops and establishments.

I have been skiing at Breckenridge for a decade now and it never disappoints. It has something for every kind of skier. By far the t-bar and runs off of the imperial bowl chair like whales tale and lake chutes are the best in my opinion when there is enough snow. That being even though there are greens and blues there are better resorts for complete beginners like Keystone or Eldora. Overall Breckenridge is my favorite mountain because it has fantastic high alpine runs.

I love both skiing and snowboarding, but a huge part of my experience is the mountain. I have been to almost every mountain in Colorado and have found Breckenridge to be my favorite. Everything is top tier. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.
