What Skiers Say About Breckenridge

Breckenridge attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Users consistently mention the large terrain spread across five peaks, offering diverse runs from groomed blues to high-alpine bowls and hike-to terrain. The town receives frequent praise for its character, dining options, and walkability. Negative themes include high costs (lift tickets, food, accommodation), crowds especially on weekends and holidays, and variable snow conditions during low-snowfall years. Several reviewers note that terrain can feel wide but not particularly deep vertically, and that après-ski is limited compared to European resorts.

My wife and I visited for Christmas and chose Breckenridge because the lift setup seemed to be the best to spread out holiday crowds. It ended up being way quieter than expected. The mountain is spread out nicely and most of it was open. Theres a huge variety of runs and tons of food and apres options, but with it being a vail resort, its not cheap.

The town is amazing and definitely one of the largest ski towns weve been to. Tons of options for food and lodging and we got a good bit of fresh snow on Christmas Day. Well definitely be going back soon!

This was my first time skiing, I took a beginners class the first day and then I followed my friends on the slopes, who were already experienced in skiing for the rest of the trip. I ended up having a wonderful time, and as a fast learner I went all the way from the ski school to master blue slopes in a week. We stayed at the Beaver Run resort and it was great, because we could walk from our room to the lifts, and we also had lockers conveniently located by the lifts entrance. The slopes were very well designed and I was surprised by the infrastructure in the resort. Also worth noting that the staff was very friendly and welcoming, contributing to a great overall experience. Since we were 7 people in our party, we got a suite, which had 4 double beds, 2 bathrooms, a private terrace a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. We cooked most of our meals at the suite and used the grill areas maybe twice. The hotel was clean and the mountain was great, however we rarely went out of the hotel apres-ski options are very limited in town.

It's been a few years since hitting the slopes with my first skiing experience starting at Breckenridge. The slopes are well maintained and have something to offer everyone, from beginners to the most advanced skiiers. The staff was amazing at this family friendly resort and the lifts move at a decent steady pace, though intimidating at first but that's in my own head with having a fear of heights, lol!! The food was great and accommodations were first class all the way!! So if your looking for a fun day on the slopes or a weekend stay or longer, then checkout Breckenridge and enjoy all the beauty and laughter that your sure to have at this beautiful resort!!

Great hill/resort that offers a great variety of runs for every skill level. Having 5 different peaks to chose from is great because it spreads out everyone on the hill and therefore makes it feel like there are less people at the hill than there are.

We booked a ski in ski out resort except our hotel room was sooooo far away from the way to get on the slopes it was like it didnt even matter lmfao. Breakfast options in the hotel are limited. Expect to spend money unless you love dive bars.

One of the best top-tier destinations in the US. 5 peaks, tremendous amounts of terrain, and something for everyone. Breck excels with high-alpine skiing options Vail, by contrast, is entirely below tree line!

The mountain is huge, so youd do well to have a good plan. You can definitely traverse from 6 to 10 and back but youll save yourself a lot of time by avoiding the lower mountain lifts use T-Bar and the Superconnect.

Peak 6, Peak 10, Imperial Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl, Chair 6, E Chair are my favorite areas. The hike-to terrain at the top Peaks 6 and 8 (Six Senses, Lake Chutes) are legendary, and tremendous fun.

I love Breckenridge. One of my favorite places due to the wide variety of run difficulties. I can take any of my friends here regardless of how they ride. They excel in the events they put on all year.

Breckenridge is where I learned to ski when I was 5 years old. As I got older, I visited a plethora of other resorts in North America & Europe, but nothing compared. Theres a place for everyone on the mountain, whether youre a beginner, intermediate, or advanced: there is surely terrain that is suitable for everyone. The Back Bowls of Breckenridge are legendary in their own right, as well as the food scene. The town is cozy and filled with different cuisines. Moreover, the town features many other activities alongside skiing that one might try; such as, horseback riding through the snow, riding snow mobiles, ice skating, and shopping!

With 4 peaks for chair lift access, and several hike-to terrain runs, even an expert can spend a week out here and have a different run every time when everything is opened. The nicest resorts, and an in town gondola to be able to visit the shops, or to have day pass access to the mountain. Also breath taking views of the valley when on the summit too. Less than 30 minute drive from Keystone Ski Resort and Vail Ski Resort, so it's a mecca for any snowboarder\skier.

Breck has been a second home to me since moving to Colorado. There is nothing than resort doesnt have to offer. Whether youre a powdered hound, a tourist, or a hardcore park rat, you can always have a great day at Breck!!

Have had some fun times there but also have had a majority of cold, windswept snow, too many people, accidents caused by others not paying attention, and being hassled. Big open runs give lots of space for learning if its not busy
