Snow Summit is good resort for beginners to advanced skiers or snowboarders. They don't have many black or double black runs that means less thrill for the advanced to expert skiers. They have a great options for freestyle ski and snowboard in their parks. Lifts are not the fastest only two lifts in the while resort are high speed. Because of its position close to the LA and Orange County it can get pretty busy on the weekends specially after snowy days. Plenty of restaurant options in town. Accommodation including Airbnb is close by to the resort.

Snow Summit can be a great place for families. It's really crowded on weekends. They have great large parking lots off site and frequent bus that drop you off at the front. That makes it very convenient on busy days. Weekdays are best Tuesday through Thursday. Lots of kids family during weekend's. Has a few good Park runs for snowboarders if you like that. The Mountain is big enough to get away from crowds if needed. They keep it well groomed. Just a really nice ski area to visit and plenty of room to relax if you're not skiing with lots of chairs outdoor seating. Also bear mountain very close by for more skiing and snow boarding. Some of my best skiing has been done there locally. Good luck and have fun.

Snow summit would be a great place to learn how to ski. Unfortunately, as an experienced skier who normally likes to ski off-piste terrain, I was a little bit disappointed with the terrain offerings. I visited on a Saturday in February and it was in the 40s so the snow quality was poor and anything that wasnt groomed wasnt skiing well. The terrain parks were good but it was hard to lap them because some of the lifts had 20-30 minute lines.
