Ive gone here a couple of times already it is great for all categories of snowboarders form beginners to advanced. The price was worth it and the rental were great. They had great options as well for dinning there were multiple on the resort. There were quite a few of quite ride as well great spot at the end of the day.

Dodge Ridge is a ski resort for people who are going to drive in and drive out, which is a shame since it's so far from where most people live. But every time I've made the long drive, it's been worth it.
Sure, the lifts are slow. Sure, you can't stay at the resort, there is only one lodge at the base, and you are kind of in the middle of nowhere. Yes, every single lift is slow. Yes, it's a lower elevation, so their ski season is short.
But Dodge more than makes up for that by having kick-ass operations, rock bottom ticket prices, and virtually no lift lines anywhere. You almost always find yourself alone on the slopes. The longest I've ever had to wait in a chair lift line on a Saturday was about 3 minutes, and that was because they had to stop the chair lift for someone who fell at the top. You can complain that the lifts are slow, but it's hard to complain when you visit a resort with tons of express lifts, but you spend more time in line than riding the lift.
Recent improvements have made dodge better than ever, especially for beginners. There is now lift access to ego alley, the longest and most open beginner run I've ever seen, and gentle Ben, the absolute best introduction to blue slopes in the world.
While the views are mediocre at best from most places, the variety of runs is fantastic. And because you never have to wait for a lift, you cover so much distance! It's hard to get as much skiing in at virtually any other California resort as it is possible to do at Dodge. Plus, the vibes are on point. Super family friendly, and everyone is there to have a good time. Grooming is top notch, putting some Vail resorts to shame.
Snow quality is unfortunately very variable per the lower elevation, but when Dodge gets powder, it DUMPS. Fluffy blower powder everywhere. The problem is a day or two later, it's all crap. Which unfortunately makes Dodge not the best for skiing in the trees. Any significant off piste skiing demands quite a lot of skill.
Dodge knows what it is. It's for locals. It's for skiers. It's not about attracting big crowds. It's for people who go home at the end of the day.
But when you add up the variety of runs, the low price, the great vibes, the empty slopes, and the lack of lift lines even on a Saturday, it's hard not to fall in love with Dodge. You may have more consistently good snow or more thrilling terrain at other resorts. But chances are that at least one day you go to Dodge will go down as one of the best days of skiing you've ever had.

Great smaller ski resort with the family field. Two different mountains plus the backside spread out the people. Mid mountain Lodge is nice with good food.! a great value!

This resort is well sized for its amount of people who go. The local resort will undergo many changes with the change in ownership. Many upgrades soon to come will be a blessing!

I went for two days at Dodge Ridge. The conditions were great, staff was kind and helpful. Plenty of slopes open. The food was overpriced, but not bad , worth it! Looking forward to going again

Home resort. Grew up skiing this smaller mountain. It offers a lit and more to come with its more limited terrain compared to tahoe. Been working here for three season and the dodge family has a friendly out going culture. Always meeting people from all over on the lifts. Now the resort doesnt get the most snow typically compared to other places. But i love it and grateful for living by it and the towns culture around it. (Also great mountain to learn on)
