Nestled in the Swiss Alps, close to Verbier, is the quieter, traditional mountain resort of Veysonnaz. The village sits at 1,233m with amazing and ever changing views over the Rhone Valley. It’s a 15mins bus ride down to the historic city of Sion, with fast train connections to Geneva Airport and other destinations.
Veysonnaz offers a good selection of accommodation to suit all budgets including hotels, chalets and many self catered apartments. There are a few bars and restaurants catering for friends and families as well as local shops, a supermarket, a butchers and a busy coffee shop serving freshly baked bread and cakes.
The modern lift station in Veysonnaz is quiet and there are no queues. A fast gondola takes you up to the massive 4 Vallees ski domain with over 400km of slopes.
There’s a variety of slopes for all abilities: gentle green runs, long cruisy reds, the legendary Piste de l’Ours, known for its World Cup ski races and plenty of off piste opportunities.
Veysonnaz is not a party resort. It offers local, rustic charm with access to unforgettable skiing. It will provide everything you need and memories that will make you want to return. Sssssh, don’t tell everyone!

Good area to ski with 100s of km to explore. Lifts were good, but lots of T bars to get across to other areas of the 4 vallees

Veysonnaz links into the 4 Valleys and the extended ski pass lets you ski to Verbier and Nendaz. Unlike those resorts, Veysonnaz is small and intimate. The walks along the network of Bisses are stunning and its just 20 minutes by car to Sion. The slopes are very varied making the resort ideal for skiers and boarders of all levels. There are great on piste restaurants and the views are utterly breathtaking. Im slightly reluctant to share about this little resort as its magical and very quiet in comparison to its busy neighbours!
