I visited St Moritz with Clubmed, so although the resort is expensive, was found very reasonable for me. The town is not a scenic alpine resort but efficient. I visted two years in a row becauase the skiing runs were just delightful.
i would recommend other resorts for value is my one tip.

Went just after Christmas and was pleasantly surprised at how much space there, never had to wait more than 10 minutes at a chairlift. Food was overpriced but about what you’d expect for being up the mountain. Great variety of red and blue runs for intermediate skiers. The paradiso side of the mountain gets sun until the end of the day so is great to finish on once the other side falls into shade.

It was a luxurious ski vacation for us as a couple in the palace hotel. Everything was just perfect from day one. People are so friendly at the resort and food was excellent. It is pricey for most things but the experience was unforgettable.
