What Skiers Say About Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada attracts a mix of beginners, intermediates, and families, with users consistently noting its abundance of red and blue runs. The resort is praised for good snow conditions at high altitude, sunny weather, and quiet slopes during weekdays, though weekends bring significant crowds and lift queues. Accommodation and spa facilities receive positive mentions, as does the value compared to Alpine resorts. However, users note limited après-ski options, a smaller terrain area that suits shorter trips, and occasional unpredictability with snow coverage early or late season.

Lovely but without the snow machines it wouldnt have been open! Most of the slopes had melted or had no snow in the first place.

We went to Sierra Nevada too early in the season as only 14 of the 140 slopes it has were open. So this review may not be representative of the resort at peak season. There were only blues and greens open which was a shame and the snow was artificial so was a bit icy in the morning but got better throughout the day. Despite this it was still a really fun few days. The resort is beautiful, the hotel was amazing and people were nice. Id like to go back when the whole resort is open to have a better opinion of what it is actually like.

Great resort, good for families, not so much for young party people. Worth a trip if youre planning on heading to Spain. Make sure to go last January as the snow doesnt arrive till after Christmas.

I love skiing in Siara Nevada as the run are very quite and the lifts r really quick. I also like the snow park which is very big and has a lot of trick like the pipe which you can ski and snowboard over. I also like how after you have been skiing you can get a lot of really nice food

me and my family love going here because its easy and close to our home. The hotel we stayed in is lovely I highly recommend its called El lodge. regardless there are other great accommodation options close to ski lift. the ski school is great and offer a wide range of people who speak different languages to accommodate. the resort is quite high altitude above the tree line so for people invested in tree skiing I wouldn't recommend the resort. When the resort does snow its amazing but the snow can be unpredictable. in the cases that it does snow it has a verity of runs and allot being very beginner friendly. For park skiers this is not the place to go, there is a small park but its not amaizing or anything advanced, they have a proline but its not open to the public from what i understand. Additionally there is rarely decent off terrain skiing. however the groomers are great so for beginners, familys and racers who want to skiing the sun i highly recommend this resort.

Travelled for 4 nights and stayed with my son during February half term. Friendly, welcoming staff in hire shops and general resort. Clear, efficient lift systems aided our travel to the beginning of slopes and pistes were groomed well. There is a family-friendly park with large animals to skii through, a great option off of a green run for younger skiers. Red runs were quiet and there were staff located along the routes to ensure things ran smoothly.
