The Skiers' Guide to Voss Resort

Slopes very quiet the first week in January so lots of space to play. Loads of time and space for the kids to learn and improve. Good variety of slopes and very family friendly. Ski hire cheap with very good quality equipment. Food and drinks in mountain restaurants similar price to the UK and really good. Service excellent though it was quiet.

Nice little resort, maybe not for good intermediate and advanced, fly into Oslo and take the Oslo -Bergen train… exceptional scenery!!!

Great resort with excellent access to varied ski slopes and stunning mountain scenery. The runs are well maintained and suitable for different ability levels, making it a pleasure to ski here. However, visitors should be prepared for the fact that restaurants and evening dining options tend to close quite early, which can be a downside after a full day on the slopes.

A big variety of blue runs that are nice and long and wide. Great for learning how to ski. Definitely recommend

Lovely resort but small and pricey.. Very pretty and also quiet. Great if you want to do a Fjords trip too.

Nice family friendly resort with guaranteed snow! Not the heights of the alps but very pretty and quiet slopes. Pack your thermals though as it’s cold! Resort is small but with a range of places to eat. Reliable lifts and gondola.

Fantastic resort easy to get there by plane and train some really good accommodation east access to mountain by a very good lift system right in the centre of the village

The resort was very pretty with all the usual ski facilities but apres ski was very limited indeed - it felt like most skiers were local Norwegians, mainly skiing as day trippers from Bergen, so after dark the resort was deathly quiet save for a few tourists. Acceptable value for money but for those wanting as much fun as they get from skiing in the evenings, this isn’t the place to be based.

I really enjoyed my time in Voss. Very friendly people and extremely quiet during the week. Gets crowded at weekends when everyone from Bergen comes! Aprés was absolutely diabolical, but I didn't come for that. I brought my splitboard and accessed some really nice off piste areas. I'd definitely go back. Get your beers at the local Spar though and party in your room!

I lived in Bergen for the past year and it was a short hour commute from Voss resort. The resort was great to go once or twice a week. Gondola is right next to the train station and student season pass was cheap. Its a small resort but great for a bit of skiing. You can ski most of the runs in a day or two so wouldnt recommend if you are advanced to go for a big trip but rather a long weekend. Or it would be great for beginners. Everyone is very friendly that works there and it is not busy at all. Chill vibe but also has fun apres on a Friday/saturday. Would highly recommend.

Voss is a great ski resort for families with small children. The skiing is limited but extremely quiet. There's good snow up until the end of April and great views of the lake below.
