The Skiers' Guide to Hafjell

First experience snowboarding, great facilities and plenty to do for all levels. Heading out again in Feb so hoping to take better advantage of the slopes now I’m a bit more confident

Skiing was decent no queues at all nice and civillised more skiers than snowboarders and a really decent ski park just super expensive

Friendly and helpful resort staff. Beautiful tree runs. Lots of variety - good food too. Amazing views across the mountains - just stunning

We went to Hafjell for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The slopes were pretty the trees were other worldly, the snow great and the snowpark was cool. For a smallish resort it had everything we needed for an awesome weekend. Food isn't amazing at the bottom but up the hill it was nice. As its Norway we recommend getting beers from the supermarket for your room as it aint cheap. Getting there is soooooo easy - an hour-ish on the dual carriageway. We also had a fan stop off at the ski jump - it was just befoee dusk and closed but you can still go up the steps at the side to the top. The beware no sledging signs made us chuckle - so Norway not to have it locked down and barriered off

Not a huge ski area, but varied well groomed, relatively quiet slopes, and interesting ski-routes (really intended for accommodation access) for when you fancy something zen.
Easy transport options from Oslo airport, and varied, high quality accommodation high options.

The resort and facilities were amazing. We went at the beginning of December, during a very warm winter. There had been no snow but they had managed to make the best of it by keeping the slopes topped up with machine generated snow and grooming it down. The quality of the runs were great but the food was very expensive, even more so than what you read online, but that is standard across Norway.

First time skiing, loved it! Lots of variable runs, food and drinks seemed well priced and so was the kit hire.

An incredible first experience of snowboarding in Norway over new year. Difficult at times with not much snow as a beginner, but all in all a great experience and will definitely be returning.

A compact mountain which offers a wide variety of terrain for all levels.
Well integrated lift system which is efficient and quick.
Loads of options for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and walking.

Great little resort with mainly blue green runs but pretty with good uplift from well run chairs. Ideal.for families and learnerslots of cross country options if that's your bag.

Very helpful and friendly people at this resort, with some great spots to eat out at. Went with friends and family and had the best time.

Great place to ski. Good food. Apres ski every Friday - but dont expect it to be like main land Europe.
