This was my second time visiting Madesimo; the first was over Christmas and New Year, and the second was late Jan.

The first visit was brilliant - slopes were quiet and the pistes were well kept. Even at a peak time, the longest I waited for a lift was 3 minutes, and most of the time there were no queues.

The second time was quieter still, with a great snow dump that resulted in fabulous skiing the next day. The runs are really fun, providing good options for skiers of all levels.

Being Italy, the food is great, and prices for food and drink is very reasonable.

I’ve been skiing in Madesimo for nearly 20 years now. Such a lovely traditional Italian village that hasn’t been affected too much by tourism. Theres only one nursery slope so it’s not the most beginner friendly but for an intermediate or confident beginner I think it’s a brilliant resort. If you decide to go I’d highly recommend the family run Hotel Andossi. Lovely room, excellent food and amazing service.

Stayed at Hotel Arlecchino, Madesimo which is a 3 star hotel at the bottom of the slopes next to the lifts.
The staff are amazing and helpful. Accommodation is clean.

Went in March 2022 when snow quantity was really poor. Towards the bottom of the mountain snow depth was dwindling and runs were getting slushy. However, the gondola to the glacier was the place to go. Runs were less busy and snow was great!

Madesimo is easy to reach and therefore is full of tourists which account for unbearable queue times in the high season. The food is quite cheap but therefore also not the best I have tried. The slopes are probably the worst part of the resort. Some areas are full of rocks just laying on slopes which become unwanted moguls after 10am. The facilities are very outdated and do not seem very safe. However the apès skies are good. There are a lot of them, and a lot of people go there. The town is quite big as well so all necessities can be easly found.

A well laid out resort with a selection of blue and red runs predominantly in the trees particularly helpful on bad visibility days! The Val Di Lei offers some nice high level skiing but is not always open due snow control! When it is open there are2 challenging itineraries down to the resort the. Canalone and the Camosci both ore a test of skill and sphincter integrity!!
