What Skiers Say About Livigno
Livigno attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to advanced riders, with families particularly well represented. The resort's duty-free status and high altitude are mentioned consistently, resulting in cheaper food, drink, and shopping alongside reliable snow cover from November to May. Reviewers frequently highlight wide, well-groomed pistes on both sides of the valley, minimal lift queues, excellent ski schools for children, and good value compared to France, Switzerland, and Austria. The main recurring drawback is the long transfer time from airports like Milan Bergamo or Innsbruck, typically three to four hours. A few advanced skiers note the limited quantity of challenging black runs, and some mention that the ski area, while adequate for a week, can feel small for those seeking extensive mileage.

Great for a romantic getaway and lgbtq friendly (not necessarily a gay SCENE but very chill tolerant people minding their business).
Long transfers from Bergamo airport.
Good snow park.
Great ski / snowboard school.
Loads of runs for all abilities, beginners can ski from some of the highest points too so don’t feel left out. Huge snow parks. Lots of places to eat out and its tax free zone.
The food was also fabulous - ate out every night, really good value for money and really good quality food. Would highly recommend
Food in the local restaurants was the highlight!
There was a small snowpark right behind our apartment with a button lift, you could ski from this park across to the main gondola. Due to not being able to access the park by skiing from the resort to the park, it was always empty, and we had a snowpark to ourselves most of the time.
The town is long and stretched out with loads of good shops and bars. Being Duty free means there are good deals to be had and prices are generally good fir food and drink too.
