Really nice quiet Italian resort. Stayed at Hotel Champoluc, right next to lift. Essentially ski in and ski out. Ski hire just next to lift and hotel. Owner Max is very accommodating and staff are happy, very family run hotel. Delicious food. Can get lifts over to Gressoney and other villages. Reasonable price of food and drink, allergies well catered for (I’m coeliac). Apres ski Saturday night at bar opposite hotel. Champoluc quite pretty town with very good spa, river walk. Hotel Champoluc has own spa. Mostly red runs great for intermediate, a few black runs that are ok for intermediates.

We LOVED Champoluc, we’re both former seasonnaires and spent our time in French resorts, we’re now Italian converts.

The food and hospitality is unrivalled, we are like kings and absolutely loved the linked resorts.

The lifts were good, some were a little dated but that added to the charm.

The value for money of both the ski pass and food and drink were fantastic.

The only downside was how busy the lifts were on the weekend, but, we were warned about this and made the most of the other days. We’ll definitely be back.

Quiet, large area, lifts so-so. Not for beginners, ample red runs. Apres/nightlife non existent. Restaurant prices great, i.e. coffee 1.50 euro.

Great resort, very quiet slopes. Had a brilliant time there, and to top it off they have a curry restaurant up on the mountain!

I skied here for 1 day when I was staying in Aosta. My overall impression was that Champoluc is pretty average in terms of the skiing. It wasn't helped by a few lifts being old and slow and also one or two big bottlenecks where the queues were very long. In fairness, it was a Saturday and I'm sure during the week in low season there would be very little queuing. There was nothing necessarily wrong with the resort but when Cervinia is very close by, and a similar journey time from Aosta, it's a no brainer to go to Cervinia. However, the scenery is absolutely stunning so I would potentially go back on the strength of this alone.

Amazing snow conditions, spectacular Views, lifts are really slow but a gem to go to again. Plenty of options for ski fun with kids, mountain huts are delightful and were often quieter than what I expected. This was the first week of Feb25

We were based in Aosta valley in Champoluc which is a stunning area.

The ski resort is very family friendly with a range of different runs which are all relatively quiet, so also great if you are starting out as a beginner.

The main lift up from aosta often did stall, but wasnt majorly busy. The rest of the lifts we had no trouble and minor queues.

Overall this is a great option if youre after a slightly cheaper ski holiday compared to France, especially for beginners and families who want a quieter less busy resort.

Champoluc is a lovely resort part of Monte Rosa at one end - good free ski bus access to neighbouring Frachey and also for beginners Antagnod. Snow everywhere - lovely tree runs at mid to base level - rapid gondolas and funicular - most chairlifts quick, couple slow. Very compact and handy for main gondola and ski hire shop and few local bars - fantastic on mountain restaurants/bars converted from rifugios - will be going back. Weekly piste pass very good value for money

We have taken our 3 children here twice. Excellent skiing, no queues and fantastic pistes. Quiet apres-ski. Clean and comfy hotels (if a little too quiet!). Would highly recommend. Good mountain restaurants at reasonable prices. Ski school was fab (so quiet as we went in school term, the kids had been booked into a group but got private lessons)!
Easy transfers and over all a fantastic resort.

Lovely quaint village with access to a large resort spanning 3 valleys. Very family friendly, not much apres, but enough good food options to make it a great stay for the family. Slopes are varied and well maintained, although not a lot of options for beginners. Plenty of access to off piste across the resort!

WE loved how quiet Champoluc was on the slopes, there were no lift queues all week other than on the weekend when the locals arrive - then it's a different story!

The skiing was great, though you do have to access a steep red/black run to enter the other areas, or take the bus along to the funicular lift and get there that way!

We stayed right next to the end of the piste, at Hotel Du Champluc, so it was ski in, and the gondola is right there outside to get up the mountain in the morning.

Apres is very quiet and reserved, exept Saturday night, again the locals made it really busy and quite noisy (but only for a couple of hours).

Great skiing, but you travel the same starting runs every day to get out and explore.

The whole Monte Rosa area is an amazing unspoiled gem. Champoluc is a genuine mountain village totally authentic and not at all glitzy and over touristy. The three valleys - Champoluc Gressoney-and Alagna cover a huge area and while not served by a vast lift system are perfectly linked for an amazing days skiing on uncrowded pistes. The area only gets even remotely busy at weekends and Christmas time when locals from Milan and Turin arrive but midweek outside these times its wide open lengthy pistes are empty.
The off piste is superb and immense - the cable car to Punta Indren giving a superb and lengthy in pistes run at over 9000 feet!
The mountain restaurants are family run offering home cooked Italian cuisine at affordable prices.
This is my all time favourite resort of all the many places I have visited in over 50 years of skiing
