Quiet small and quiet, If you want a party town this is not for you.
New lift from town only takes 6 mins to get to the top and any queue goes down very quickly.
We did half board so did not eat in town, food in the mountains was mostly good but beware some that only do a few things as they can be bad, as ever, look at what others are eating to get a gauge.
Very easy to get on and off the Sella Rhonda from here, pistes at top of gondola are mostly red but there is easy access to areas with more blues.
All in all we will go back.

Vast ski area with the sella ronda connecting many resorts. Piste quality is always good. Best for intermediate and up as most of the sella ronda is made up of red runs.

Loved skiing here been close before but stayed in Canazei that time. we went early Jan so we unfortunately missed the dump of snow the dolomites was due and the snowboarders in our group complained that they didn’t have enough off piste due to this. No complaints from me all pistes open and groomed and snow parks also open. brill food lovely hotel and town with amazing leisure pool facilities.
Great ski area, excellent ski hire very modern for the fitting. And my daughter loved her lessons from Canazei ski bus was superb also wish it was running slightly later.

I mean the whole of the sella ronda available so never tire of the skiing here so many options

Stayed at the Diamanté for the sender year in a row. Great hotel with friendly staff. Not much snow when we went but excellent manufactured snow so all pistes where perfect. Sadly off piste was limited. They had a dump of snow after we left!!

This is an intermediate resort as the first rubs off cable car are red. There is a great cafe in town called cafe tirol run by 2 sisters that serve great food and cheap beer.

Every year we return, we will never get board of the abundance of runs and choices available.
Ski all day and never ski the same run with over 40km of skiing.
Very cost effective, plenty of options over the 4 resorted connected so never really limiting your choice to stay and change things up over the years.
Food is great, people are friendly, accommodation is ideal and week placed, everywhere is accessible and the lifts are always being updated and improved.

Bussing up and down the valley between the different ski areas can be frustrating and the Limited lifts up onto the ski area can have 1-2 hour queues at peak times. However, beyond that, the skiing is epic with an amazing range of pistes and jaw dropping scenery (unlike anything else in the alps!). Simple access to the massive sella ronda circuit and neighbouring resorts.
The hidden valley run in Lagazuoi can be accessed via a short taxi from Alta badia and is an amazing experience.

Val di Fassa is somewhere i have been many times on holiday. It has great pistes that stretch over a massive area of land. The Sellaronda especially is an essential route if youre coming here to ski. Après may not be as good as somewhere like St Anton but the eating out options are amazing and is perfect for a family holiday.
