Although there aren’t a lot of runs here, the runs are of good quality and have lots of levels for different abilities. Lifts were very good and it is easy to go off piste

Been skiing here all my life - since before I could walk - whilst it’s a smaller resort it still has a really nice atmosphere for those not looking to party hard

Great little resort for families with all pistes leasing back to a single base. Pistes are always perfectly prepared and a small but efficient lift system means queues are not common after the 9am ski school rush. Plenty of access to inbounds off piste, with more to go at outside of the resort boundaries

Only 4 ski lifts but great terrain for off-piste and touring options. Very friendly locals, fun apres esp. in Moulinettes Bar. Severel excellent restaurants but booking essential.

Although not the largest ski area as far as pistes are concerned , Sainte Foy offers some of the best off piste skiing in the alps. And is also probably one of the most chilled areas for those wanting to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more relaxed pace with good restaurants andBars too choose from it makes for one of the most Zen ski areas in Europe

Good but small resort, great for a couple of days. Not many pubs or restaurants but OK for family's.

It was incredible!!! We are here for a week and it has been super pleasent, not very busy, and everyone has been very welcoming. We are staying on the property and the restaurants are nearby, and very good quality. Awesome powder and spectacular views. The restaurant near the peak had a record aperol spritz, my turns post lunch were exquisite as a result

Great small resort for families and beginners. Its close to tigne for those wanting access to more slopes and a lively atmosphere.

Fantastic resort for the family. Friendly resort in every respect whether ski school, staff and other skiers, no attitude here. Many returning skiers every years so feel like home from home.

Safe skiing if have children and all runs return to resort. Quick and efficient lift system with some easy accessible off piste. Only a couple real challenging runs in resort however very close to Lea Arc, Tignes and Val for a daily dose of the more expansive and challenging runs.

A good selection of family restaurants and lively bars.

Really great little resort for a family holiday. Quiet (went in January), great ski school and wide easy blues back to the village, perfect for little skiers!

Sainte Foy is a gem of a resort! It's become a lot more popular in recent years but when you're there you can still benefit from quiet, well maintained slopes and almost zero queues for the lifts outside peak weeks.
I'm very much a piste lover and although there aren't endless km to be skied, you can happily while away a week. I have friends who ski here who can't get enough of the off-piste - Conditions permitting, it's world class.
The apres ski offering has definitely improved over the past couple of years with 1580m restaurant (and brewery!), Lama Llama and Moulinettes providing some good vibes.
Super family friendly village with accommodation options for most budgets.

An absolutely wonderful ski resort full of charm and perfect for young families. Some beautiful quiet pistes through the trees and many pistes that are perfect for beginners. Some great chalets and accommodation, including wonderful traditional restaurants. It's a small resort but makes up for it in charm!

Sainte Foy is the sort of resort you settle into after visiting the larger ones over a number of years. It's where ski instructors from nearby mega resorts go on their day off. Val d'Isere and Les Arcs are just nearby and easily accessed on a day trip by car in circa 15 to 20 minutes, although you probably won't bother all that often, as the resort has all you need. We have visited a fair few times over a couple of decades. It's a home from home, which is well suited to small groups of friends, and good for teaching kids ... or adults for that matter. It's not a big resort, it only has a handful of lifts, that have been added to since the millennium, but these cover a fair amount of terrain. It's all about quality over quantity in Sainte Foy though. With a dump of fresh powder, the place opens up a huge amount of extra possibilities, if you are lucky enough to experience a sunny day after a big snowfall, there's no better location in the Alps. The rest of the time, it's perfectly pleasant, and although compact, there's enough territory to avoid boredom, while becoming familiar enough to concentrate on simply skiing well, without having to map read excessively, or making sure you have time to get back home to critical links as the day ends. If you keep going down, all routes will end up at the embracing village centre, it's nearly impossible to get lost, although there are back country off piste routes to be wary of. The resort has a mix of chiefly visiting and local Brits, plus French locals of course. There's and inclusive feel where visitors and residents mingle well, bound together in appreciation, as those who find the resort like to keep things as a bit of a secret (I have betrayed this here, I realise). Once you find your ski legs, try keeping up with the local kids in the resident ski club, who zip all over the mountain in a perpetual tuck, that's in between racing. The place is well respected and frequentled by a number of Olympians. Although don't be intimidated, as beginners are well served on the lower levels, whilst the more advanced can dissappear up high on the expansive upper slopes. The mid level slopes are great for intermediates, and some of the runs back to the resort aren't too challenging. One is particularly long and easy, allowing improvers to tackle more terrain without getting out their depth. I enjoyed teaching my 4 year old son here back in the day. There's a few mid level restaurants and bars that you can pop in for a drink, or stop longrr at for more substantial meals. Mixed ability groups can split up and agree to meet just above the first lift, or back in the resort, which has a few decent bars and restaurants. The resort itself is not large and isn't for clubbers but it's perfect for relaxed apres ski. The accommodation is generally high quality, although functional options are possible. If you do choose the resort, I wish you well, I don'tthink there's much chance of being disappointed.

St Foy is our hidden gem, stunning views down the valley and a lovely car free village feel with plenty of accommodation choices from self catering to luxury chalets. We have returned many times as a family and weve always left hoping to return. ESF has been our choice of ski school for the kids and they loved returning and seeing the same instructors. For us adults the size of St Foy means we are able to ski the resort and allow our kids to ski by themselves and find them again really easily! Lots of freedom for them and some great off piste for us. Although a small resort weve always made the most of this stunning resort! If the snow is good the off piste is some of the best with fun tree skiing and under the chairlift stuff for the more brave. Definitely a winner for us.

Great family resort, fast modern lifts with no queues, accessible off piste areas and all runs end in town at same place so no losing the kids.

Love it here - not overly crowded on the lifts and plenty of space on the slopes. Not many lifts but access to plenty of extra terrain means there's always options available.

This is a fantastic resort with not many lifts but a big ski area. There are mostly short queues, even in school holidays. The pistes are well looked after and nice and wide. There are off-piste options which are easily accessed from the lifts.

When it snows, head away form the big boys in the Tarentaise and go where the guides go. Saint Foy is a relatively small on piste resort-fine, varied high slopes for families and intermediates. However it comes alive in the easily accessible off piste and back country. If you're staying here, its pretty English, but good quality ski in ski out accommodation. Its a small built for purpose resort so not wild and full of choice post skiing, but enough. Pack your skins, hire a guide and you're going to be very happy

A beautiful little gem of a resort with fantastic on and off piste skiing, and a surprisingly large area served by such a small number of lifts. It is a very short drive from Val dIsere, Tignes, La Rosiere and Les Arcs, so ideal for a week or two of touring some of the best skiing in the Alps. Its great for all levels of skier and very little queuing for the lifts which are a bit slow. It has lovely mountain restaurants, and plenty of chalet accommodation if not hotels.
