Good options of runs but hard to get to beginner runs without doing harder runs ( or not being able to get down without doing them). A good snow park for beginners and seemingly family friendly across the larger Sybelles area. Apres scene is fine, but just that, however some good restaurants.

Hidden gem connected to Les Sybelless massive network of pistes. Great for intermediate skiing and skill development.

Great resort if you're looking for somewhere quiet. It's a small resort with lots of good activities for kids.

First time skiing for over 20 years. Nervous but the ski school had me skiing in no time!
Stayed at Les Cedres which was great value for half board. And fantastic that it was ski in/ski out. Made getting to ski school a breeze (after the first day when I walked because the bus was full!)
Absolutely fantastic views from our bedroom - felt very VIP!
We chose it because it had spa facilities which you can book to use exclusively. Jacuzzi was broken when we were there but the saunas were great!
Hired skis from the skiset shop further up the resort who very kindly delivered them to our hotel for free.
There were great runs for a newbie skier plus a more experienced boarder who I went with. Never queued very long (or at all!) for lifts.
Would I return? Yes, definitely, especially as we only found a great patisserie in the village on our last day which I'd have been at every day if I'd know about it before!!

Amazing family friendly resort. Some of my favourite runs in the alps - great variety and enough challenge for advanced skiers.
Lots of options for reasonable lunches - baguette and a glass of rose for 10
The village is very nice with many options for great food!

Saint sorlin is a great resort for families of individuals who do not generally do a lot of miles. It has a great variety of slopes. Great views. Can connect over to other towns in the Les sybelles region but long (ish) transitions.
We - a family of 4 - particularly enjoyed the wide runs, the ski school, the mountain restaurants were great, the lift system was good.
Not a lot by way of apres, there was a lively yeti bar in town when we stayed but might not be there now.
Off the slopes the town is quiet but nice, lots of shops and restaurants and nice for an evening stroll.
If your idea of fun is a mix of skiing and long lunches with good views then you should consider Saint sorlin.

Stayed in half board hotel - Les Cedres. Good value for money. But bar prices were very high.
Not great vegetarian options on the half board menu (a different set menu each evening). But great ski in/out which meant I could ski straight to ski school and then back in at the end of the day!
Good slopes for a beginner.

This quiet mostly French village boasts a beautiful unique area to ski and snowboard. The pristine maintenance of the slopes are matched by the powdery off piest sections. St Sorlin links nicely to La Toussuire st Jean DArves la Corbier to name but a few surrounding villages, with all provide an amazing ski experience.
If youre coming for nightlife you will be disappointed, this is not the place for you. Although it has several bars and some fabulous restaurants (hors de piste, which is a must visit) the nightlife is more of a chilled vibe. Although saying that there is a nightclub which opens at 12 which we havent made it to!
The village really focuses on children and guests there is something going on every day. Whether it is fireworks every Thursday night, go meet the avalanche dogs, try to mono ski the list is endless
And you will see solient at some point, on the lifts in restaurants on the slopes shes always about!
Hope this helps you from a snowboarder with a family who also ski that loves to get get out early on those slopes and enjoy a beer or two
