Most friendly ski resort we have ever visited . The slopes were so quiet it was amazing . Well kept and lots and lots of off piste for those that wanted it . A great ski park with an air bag for adventurous kids

Le Grand Bornand is my local resort, I have been going there for the past 20 years and my parents live in the resort year round.

It is quiet and tranquil with some of the best slopes on Europe for free range riding. The snowpark os always fantastic and the powder when the snow falls is heavenly due to the resort having its own microclimate due to its positioning.

Good resort for a short break, close to Geneva airport with efficient transfers.

Used to be linked to nearby La Clusaz but that is now over. Becomes limited for more than a short break, but lift pass is acceptable price

I’ve been to Grand Bornand several times and it’s always a lot of fun. It’s large enough to explore different runs and places but still has a lot of variety in levels.

Ski lifts run very efficiently, even during a Sunday in January there was rarely a longer than 5 minute wait for a lift. There is one drag lift (le Prarion 1 and 2 - or something along those lines) that is not very easy to go up but I tend to avoid that.

Great little quiet town that is full of charm, lots of restaurants & a few great bars. Ski slopes are great for beginners and experts alike but the real winner here is that it is fairly quiet so no real waiting at chair lifts & the slopes are generally quite clear!!

Visited in February and it was quiet, queues for the lifts went down quickly. There was only one busier day out of the 5 we skied. Ideal for beginners and as a novice I was comfortable on most blues by the end of the week. But the blacks looked terrifying so I think there is something for everyone! Food on the mountain was great, in the town even better. But order a latte and you will get an espresso topped with whipped cream - not complaining!

Le Grand-Bornand is a beautiful alpine village with a warm, authentic atmosphere. The scenery is stunning, and the village feels welcoming without being overcrowded or overly commercial. The ski area is great for families and intermediate skiers, with well-maintained slopes and plenty of activities beyond skiing. In summer, it’s just as enjoyable with fantastic hiking and mountain views. Lovely restaurants, local products, and a relaxed vibe make it a place you’ll want to return to. Love it here

Lovely friendly smaller French resort with long green runs. A large varied area with short queues even at busy times

Great family resort, great reds and blacks, but also, for those less skilled: you can almost come back from where you are on a blue

Went with an all male group of mixed ages from early 20s to late 50s. Restaurants and bars gods ,lifts in the town , picturesque village/town. Fully recommend

Le grand bornand is a lovely quieter resort, with plenty of slopes to keep you entertained. I haven't attempted the black runs as not up to that standard but appeared to be plenty of black and off piste areas to discover.There are a few places to eat in the town but you are limited for apres ski.If you aren't after a wild time then look no further than le grand bornand! It's so pretty and peaceful.

Beautiful, quiet, unspoilt resort, great for a quieter ski, people super friendly. I real jewel and a great find. I will be back for sure

Le grand Bornand is a great resort for families and offers lots of accessiblilty. Locals are very friendly and not too busy.

I've been to Le Grand Bornand since learning how to ski and I cannot get over how much I love being there - I look forward to it all year round!!Their green and blue slopes are amazing for beginners and I even managed a nice red called La Tollard on my third day of riding - everyone is friendly with beginners and the hot drinks with a view at the end makes it even more worth the day :)

Beautiful area, very quiet and well looked after with a variety of terrains to ride. Village is very welcoming and access all over the mountain is very quick and efficient. Will be coming again next year

For my first time visiting, I had the best weekend! Great slopes and a great place to ski. I would recommend to anyone to check Le Grand-Bornand out!

The slopes were perfect for myself (someone who has only skied a few times) lots of different tracks with beautiful views and it was super easy to get around the resort. There was also lots of different off piste options for my boyfriend who is a much better skier. There was also lots of opportunities for us to ski together even though we are at different abilities.

Short transfer from airport. Great choice and range of slopes & pistes, for all abilities & fantastic apres ski.

Great small resort that's easy to navigate around the central mountain. Slopes are usually quiet and there's a great board park to play in too.

This resort while not particularly high has everything the beginner up to advanced intermediate could want. Its not particularly well known by the English but French skiers come here which says a lot. The pistes are well looked after and are pretty quiet outside the usual holiday weeks. The lift pass is reasonably priced and you can also Ski La Clusaz which is only 10 minutes away by free ski bus on the same pass if you want. Eating out is pretty decent and reasonably priced for a French ski resort. Nightlife is centered around bars . Because this is a traditional village, there is a charm to the place and there is enough for the non skier to do. For those that dont like lengthy airport to resort transfers, Le Grand Bornand comes into its own in that it is only an hour away from Geneva airport. This resort is well worth considering as an easy to access resort with good value extensive skiing
