Courchevel Review Summary

Courchevel attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting its connection to the Three Valleys as a major draw. Intermediate skiers dominate the reviews and consistently praise the well-groomed pistes, wide runs, and efficient lift system. Off-piste and tree runs are noted by advanced riders, while beginners appreciate the nursery slopes and ease of progression. The resort's high cost is the most frequently mentioned drawback, with reviewers citing expensive lift passes, food, drink, and accommodation. Après-ski options are well-regarded, though prices vary significantly between locations. Some reviewers mention crowding, particularly with inexperienced skiers, and a few note issues with lower-altitude snow cover later in the season.

Great access to 3 valleys. Lower runs lack snow in April.
Courchevel has great eating options, ski hire and supermarket.

Courcheval is a quieter resort, so great for families and couples. The skiing in Courcheval was absolutely brilliant, the runs were easy to ski, well maintained and easy to follow. There are plenty of options for where to go with the 3 valleys lift pass and there were lots of options for apres ski and food. We definitely want to go back.

Courchevel is apart of the wider Les 3 Vallées resort conglomerate. Courchevel has what I’d consider the most mellow of runs out of all villages and the most novice skiers.

You’ve likely seen the village online and it is known for its luxury options. That said restaurants on the actual mountain tend to fly more on the instagram forward visuals and high prices rather than attracting people with their quality food.

For most skiers I’d recommend exploring the other villages which are connected by the lifts. Val thorens and Meribel are exceptionally fun. The mountain between Courchevel and Meribel often have the most sun leading to the best snow.

Stayed at Courchevel after skiing Meribel in 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed the 3 valleys. Courchevel full of decent pubs and nice restaurants that don’t only appeal to the more affluent clientele as reputation may indicate. Would definitely return and recommend

As an individual who went with family friends, and the following year with family we love this resort. There is a slalem park where our friends trained that allowed my brother to join in, he’s only intermediate. We loved our time there.

The slopes were all icy when we went in December, so might help if you go in another month with more snow! Very beautiful resort and lots of pistes however

Really good ski resort. We stayed in a privately rented Chalet away from the main resort and self-catered which saved us money. With that in mind, it isn’t a cheap resort but well connected to the 3 Vallées with lots of nice places to eat and have a coffee. If you can afford it, it is great.

Been going here since i was a kid its always been the biggest best ski resort there is connecting to meribel and val T you can ski to several other resorts as well. Quality of restaurants in this area is top tier. When the snow is heavy off piste is everywhere. Always a blue or green to get about but plenty harder stuff to go find. Can be expensive but worth it. Favourite restaurant - porteta in moriond. Favourite run - le creux

Went here for Valentine's Day with my partner. We stayed at a chalet in Bozel and drove up to ski for three days. The selection and variety of slopes was fantastic, with great powder and stunning views all-around. The dining and apres selections were also top notch. Highly recommend.

Courcheval 1650 was amazing, great slopes, expansive mountains to explore and super nice lifts and amenities. Stunning views all round but if you go right to the top of Meribel, its a great ski down with an amazing view and way less crowded! 1850 was nice too but I preferred 1650 as I didn't have to worry so much about crashing into a royal or a celeb. FunkyFox bar in town was class with great bands, I do wish I’d explored the nightlife of 1850 more however although I’m sure it would’ve cost an arm and a leg.

I came to Courchevel with family and family friends in April and we all had a fantastic time. Even though it was towards the end of the season the slopes were still great. Plenty of options for places to eat out.

It’s pretty nice, there were just some issues with communication about closed lifts and connections. Luckily nothing too bad. Sadly the snow was melting away for us - the resort isn’t very high so I would recommend always going somewhere above 2000
