Been a keen skier for forty plus years - needed a good selection of learner runs for my 2.5yr old grandsons first ski trip. What chamrousse gave us was, excellent pistes, friendly people everywhere. Quiet slopes and a huge variety of snowy activities - restaurants were superb. We appreciated that the village was mostly French visitors too. Supermarkets had wonderful selection of fresh food and gorgeous wines, without elevated prices. We have been super lucky with the snow conditions this year. Even the locals said it was exceptional. Skiing with my tiny grandson we aimed for many of the blue slopes however some were definitely reds masquerading as blues. Highly recommend

Is a great resort but very small. One bar “kaydogs” and also only a few restaurants but very nice was welcomed everywhere and the only English on the resort everyone was French. Their is a glacier but that was closed due to the high snowfall for majority of the 5days so spent most of the time in the snow parks and off-pist next to the slopes in the powder areas, resort was great for both of these. Glacier opened on the final day and was great much larger ski area then expected up at the top and a great black run from the glacier to the bottom of resort. Views from the resort over chamoney where great
