I was staying in Brides-les-Baines over Christmas in Dec 2024. There was very little snow and very few ski slopes. But is a good place to stay with cheaper accommodation and a Spar nearby. And there is a gondola (Olympia) that will take you to other resorts and up to Méribel, which is amazing!! We spent a lot of time there. Its about a 20 minute gondola to get there from Brides-les-Baines. Good restaurants with proper French cuisine.

Bride les bain is a village located lower down in the three valleys area. No ski routes down to the village but you can get a long gondala that takes you right into the centre of Meribel, and from there you have the whole of the three valleys area. Excellent budget option for those wanting to save the pennies. We used as a base for ski touring in the Vanoise National Park, which is about a 40 minute drive from the village. Overall good budget option with good access to a large ski valley via gondala

Wonderful access to meribel, makes it cheap and cheerful. There is a gondola lift up to meribel in the morning, and brides le bain itself is very sweet

Great value for money. The gondola takes you up to meribel before all the lifts start so its a great way to be first on those lifts

Links into the 3 Valleys via a 25 minute gondola ride. Prices in resort cheaper than in the main ski area. Small town with thermal baths.

As a family we absolutely love Brides les Baines ! Its the perfect village to explore the 3 valleys at a more affordable cost . We love this charming little town and it has everything we need . Its easy to drive to and never need snowchains. Theres a handfull of charming bars and restaurants but not much night life as such but that isnt an issue for us . The Hotel Amelie even has happy hour pints for 5 euros ! Where else in the 3 valleys has that ? !! Looking forward to our next visit during February half term .

Using cable from brides can be slow and crowded. If you have a car.. pick up ski pass online or drive up to Corchaval to buy pass then head and park at Corchaval 1650 and use button lift as an entry point to 3 valley's. Saves a lot of time and is crowd free skiing for warm up.

Brides-les-Bains is a charming and budget-friendly gateway to the vast Three Valleys ski area, offering a mix of convenience, affordability, and a touch of Alpine charm. Connected to Méribel via a 25-minute gondola ride, this resort is an excellent choice for skiers seeking access to world-class slopes without the high price tag of staying higher up in the mountains. What We Loved: 1. Value for Money: Brides-les-Bains offers more affordable accommodation and dining compared to Méribel or Courchevel, making it a great option for budget-conscious travelers. 2. Spa Facilities: True to its name, the village boasts excellent spa facilities, including the thermal spa Grand Spa Thermal perfect for après-ski relaxation. 3. Access to the Three Valleys: The Olympe gondola provides seamless access to the heart of the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world. 4. Quaint Atmosphere: Unlike some of the more commercialized resorts, Brides-les-Bains retains a traditional Alpine village feel, making it a quieter and more relaxed base. Hot Tips: 1. Morning Gondola Strategy: To maximize your ski time, catch the Olympe gondola early in the morning, as it can get busy during peak times. Aim to be there by 8:15 AM.

Brides is nota a ski resort ! BUT it gives great access to the incredible 3 Valleys through Merible. It offers a real French town feel and much lower prices than the main resorts. The gondola take you into Merible is just 20 Minutes. Great if you want to ski the worlds biggest ski area on a budget
