Vitosha can be great as its so close to Sofia, its one of the best things about the city, however, theres no lift to take you up the mountain anymore so car is the only option. It was hard enough to park up the mountain where there was a lift, let alone now. There are only 3 slopes and thats if were lucky with the weather and theres enough snow, most times its just one available, lift is old and slow so be ready for long queues.

Resort delivers an all-around great experience for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The resorts relatively manageable crowds (especially on weekdays) and scenic views make it a standout for those looking to enjoy a well-rounded winter getaway.

Vitosha has only one slope working these days. Unfortunately, the lift to get there has been closed so only option to get to the slope is by car. There have never been enough parking spaces before let alone now, also weather doesnt always allow to go up by car simply because roads are not cleaned. Slope is nice, often icy but its very convenient to go skiing for anyone living in Sofia.
