What Skiers Say About Borovets
Borovets is consistently described as a budget-friendly resort that particularly suits beginners and families, with multiple reviewers praising the ski schools and instructors. The ski area is small, with most intermediate skiers able to cover all runs within 2-3 days, and advanced skiers often find limited terrain. Value for money is a recurring theme, though several reviewers note prices have increased since Bulgaria adopted the Euro. Snow conditions are variable, with the resort relying heavily on snow cannons, and late-season visits often see limited piste availability and slushy conditions. The resort has a lively nightlife with cheap bars and restaurants, though some reviewers mention the prevalence of strip clubs as a family concern.

I went with a mixed skill group and the ski instructors were really good. I went with beginner as it was my first time skiing in 5 years.
Highly recommend for beginners and intermediate
Very good for beginners, intermediate skiers.
Probably not so good for advanced skiers, as there are limited slopes.
Good atmosphere for apres. And nightlife is pretty good as well, if your able to stay awake for it.
Hotels around the area can be a bit hit and miss but some are very nice.
Would definitely go back.
I found it to be a great place to learn to Ski as there are plenty of green and blue routes. Moving up to intermediate there are some longer red runs available. The ski lifts are all quick and reliable and a free shuttle bus service can take you to one of the ski lifts.
More advanced Skiers have limited black runs to use amd a very small amount of off piste.
If you are a more experienced skier looking only for reds and blacks then this probably isnt the resort for you. But if you are a family with kids looking to learn you cant go wrong here.
If youre a little more adventurous you can do it without a package and book flights hotels and accommodation on your own which again makes it cheaper.
Overall loved the resort, loved the friendly people and above all, loved the price!
There looks like lots of offpiest but it gets tracked out quickly and early.
The food and drink is very well priced and lots of different options
Good selection of bars and restaurants, but all quite simple - this is not the place for glitz and glamour.
Borovetz offers good value for money but, like everywhere else, it is getting a little more expensive.
It can be hit and miss on snow quality early and late season, but dont let that put you off.
The resort if ideal for groups of friends looking to enjoy apres ski at an affordable price.
The Rila side of the resort is very busy, with all the majority of ski schools concentrated in this area.
The Yastrabets runs are, in my opinion, by far the best runs in the resort. Fairly long, wide, treelined slopes that offer good skiing for advanced skiers.
Maybe not the glamour of the Alps, but a very good value for money resort.
