We had really good time in Borovetz . Very friendly and helpful people, Weather was beautiful. We will definitely go back.

Our experience was overall great, however the apre and the runs were lacking. I think if you want a cheap holiday then this is the place to go, however if you want better runs and apre then maybe not

Really good value for money entry level ski resort, I had very affordable private lessons to help me learn as an intermediate skier and all the food/drink options were also very affordable.
For advanced skiers the result might be smaller than some of the Western European ones.

Borovets is an excellent budget-friendly destination, offering a variety of spa hotels and a relaxed atmosphere for skiing. Its especially ideal for beginners, with a wide range of slopes catering to all skill levels.

Just great all round resort for skiing eating and drinking, spa hotels and short comfortable transfers and child friendly

Plenty of free lance ski instructors.. good variety of runs and beautifully scenic..
Plenty of non skier things to do..
Plenty of good wholesome food places with good value food
Some lively places in the evening but plenty of quiet little gems

Really good place to learn to ski or even a great place just to go for a long weekend. Theres not the vast range of runs compared to France or Austria but what they do have are stunning and a little quieter. I would recommend at least once

Very affordable resort, while its quite limited, its a great option if youre on a budget. You can ski the whole area in about 3/4 days. Nightlife is great fun!

Many options for reasonably priced places to stay close to the slopes. Although the snow wasnt the best due to weather conditions we still had a great time. All of the ski school were lovely and the food was amazing ( dont forget to try the hot chocolate!!).

Its such a small resort but we keep going back. We love it and now so do all our family and friends.

Borovets is split into 2.
The Rila side family friendly, not too high, and good for all skills. This side is as you look out from the Rila hotel and has a mix of greens, blues and reds, with a couple of blacks thrown in for good measure. We find this side is great if youre all at different skills and want to meet up regularly. You can set up camp at one of the bars at the bottom of the slopes.

The other, we call the gondola side.
The very top has a couple of bars that serve food and drinks and some short higher ski runs. There is then some really nice blue to red runs from main gondola. You can do these in a loop to the midpoint or top to bottom. Theres also a lovely scenic ski road from here to the Rila.

Weve stayed both sides and preferred the gondola side. Ski in and out of the Rila is nice, but not if you spend most of your time on reds/blacks and off piste. Theres a bit of a hill to get up to the Rila but its not far.

Resort is limiting as its so small but if youre a family, a big group or more of an early riser than a late drinker, youll love it here.

Came here after a long break from skiing to reignite my love for skiing. I organised this trip with friends, some of which had experience, some of which had never used skis or a board before. We chose this resort as we read that it was great for groups of friends and wanted a cheaper option outside of the typical France, Switzerland, etc. We definitely didnt make any mistakes with the choice. There were runs for all levels of experience and the newcomers fell in love and cant wait to ski again. The resort is perfect for a 4-7 day trip and the value for money is insane!

Super resort for beginners or improvers. Not huge so avoid if you want to ski a lot of different piste. Good for kids. Reccomend the Rila hotel in the center. Mixed reports about other hotels

Nice for 1st time sii trip, good value. Runs are OK, some hotels are dated and food isn't the finest.

SO CHEAP. I personally cant rave about the skiing because the visibility and conditions were awful whilst I was there- but what we did manage to do was good. Very affordable holiday, I would go back to try it again!

Amazing place great value for money in terms of lessons, lift passes and hotels. I have been here twice now and would recommend the place to others from families right through to beginners starting out on their first snow holiday. Lots of great runs and the snow conditions were great for boarders and skiers. The locals are friendly and very welcoming and always happy to help.

I have been to Borovets twice when learning in my teens and it was perfect - and cheap to learn. By now i see its not as affordable as it used to be and I would question if it was value for money by now. Snow conditions aren't great on the whole , lifts are old, and the gondola can close in high winds closing a big part of the resort. Accommodation is basic as wel as the food. Ski adre is very small and can be completed in a day.

Brilliant time last year and are going back in the new year.

I went with a mixed skill group and the ski instructors were really good. I went with beginner as it was my first time skiing in 5 years.

Highly recommend for beginners and intermediate

Ski slopes so easy to access.

Probably not so good for advanced skiers, as there are limited slopes.

Good atmosphere for apres. And nightlife is pretty good as well, if your able to stay awake for it.

Hotels around the area can be a bit hit and miss but some are very nice.

Great friendly ski resort for beginner and intermediate skiers. There are lots of hotels, bars and restaurants within the town itself all of which are well priced.

I found it to be a great place to learn to Ski as there are plenty of green and blue routes. Moving up to intermediate there are some longer red runs available. The ski lifts are all quick and reliable and a free shuttle bus service can take you to one of the ski lifts.

More advanced Skiers have limited black runs to use amd a very small amount of off piste.

A great family friendly resort at a budget skiing price. 2 hours of 1:1 skiing tuition for just over £60!

If you are a more experienced skier looking only for reds and blacks then this probably isnt the resort for you. But if you are a family with kids looking to learn you cant go wrong here.

If youre a little more adventurous you can do it without a package and book flights hotels and accommodation on your own which again makes it cheaper.

Overall loved the resort, loved the friendly people and above all, loved the price!
