Perfect resort to meet the needs of a multi age family. Long and wide slopes with a great selection of all levels from beginners to more demanding skiers / snowboarders. Large selection of restaurants for lunch during the day or for quick coffee and bombardinos with perfect terraces offering great views. Accommodations possible on the slopes or near slopes too.
Perfect resort, love coming back.

Great resort been visiting for a number of years, excellent slopes, 4 linked mountains with plenty of runs for all abilities. Great ski school with top quality instructors. Good quality mountain food at reasonable prices, they really plough money back into the mountains with new runs and top quality lift system.
Range of accommodation to suit most budgets, great town with its own history and lots to do for non skiers. Highly recommend this place.

Schladming is a picturesque ski resort in Austria, perfect for a winter getaway. It offers a variety of well-maintained slopes suitable for all levels, with a strong focus on intermediate skiers. The ski area is part of the larger Ski Amadé region, providing access to an extensive network of runs. The town itself has a charming, traditional Austrian vibe, with cozy restaurants and après-ski spots. Its less crowded than some larger resorts, making it a great choice for a more relaxed skiing experience.

I have visited schladming a good number of times and am always impressed by the lift system and the ability to move between 4 different mountains and the different challenges they present, accommodation is plentiful and caters for families and single folk alike. Apres is one not to be missed and the tenne is a sure place to start off the unwinding.

We have been skiing in Schladming Haus for the past 20 years and love it. The resort covers 4-mountain range with a wide variety of pistes suitable for absolute beginners right up to advance skiers. The pistes are expertly groomed with snow canons topping up snow levels meaning even low snow fall is generally not a problem.
There is constant investment in the resort with a new 8-seater chair lift having opened just this season at Hauser Kaibling. The lofts do get busy but it all flows pretty well. Obviously the gondola is slow first thing in the morning when everyone is trying to get up the mountain.
Plenty of good food and drink options on the mountain at reasonable prices.
We highly recommend Schladming to all. Its very family friendly but also great for groups and individuals.

Amazing ski resort, huge mountain with lots of different runs, something for everyone (beginners - expert)
lots of accommodation and lots of shops around the bottom of the hill.
Lifts are efficient although can be busy at times but this is expected.
Love this place

Been skiing here for years and on our most recent trip was happy to see further upgrades to infrastructure (4 person key chairlift has been replaced with a faster and larger lift).
The 4 mountain link is great value and means you can keep switching up your runs through the day without having to come back to the bottom and take a bus to the next mountain along.
Really family friendly, good all round accessible reds for mixed ability groups. Lovely scenery.
Maybe not so much for advanced skiers, but there are some harder black runs eg. the World Cup run down in schoadming.
also would not recommend for any party apres focussed groups. There is a little apres but its pretty mild and doesnt seem to get that busy.
I would really recommend skiing here overall. Its a great place for mixed groups and those who want quick access to fairly quiet slopes (outside of key bank holidays) and huge variety.

Something for everybody with beginner slopes up the mountain on Planai to give learners the full mountain experience. Impressive lift system across the 4 main peaks with variety of terrain and exceptional mountain restaurants for food and drink. Plenty of apres ski and a lively town with great seasonal events. My favourite resort

I really liked Schladming, its a fairly small ski area compared to some others which is perfect for a shorter break. The runs would be well suited to all levels with a good range of reds and blues and a few blacks, but some of the bottom runs to town (and especially the main apres bar) are quite steep and as the day goes on get quite bumpy so would recommend that less confident skiers take the lift down from the mid station as we saw a few people skidding down on their bums/hurt themselves.
The apres ski was very good (traditional Austrian with europop as well as plenty of English language songs too) with the Almrausch apres bar at the top of the mountain kicking off early and then the Tenne at the bottom of the slopes continuing until late! Not a big English crowd (which I quite like) which is something to bear in mind if that is something you want - more German, Austrian and Dutch.
We stayed in a lovely hotel in the centre and the town is quite easy to get around with lots of good food options for the evenings!
We only skied the 4 mountain planai area which is all connected and accessible from the town. However there is also a glacier (Dachstein) nearby which is on the same region ski pass!
I would go happily go back!
