Not the best resort for beginners, very hard to get to blue runs unless going through a tricky red. Apres options also limited.

I really enjoyed my week in Hopfgarten and really good to have the larger ski pass that allows you to go to Sol and Westendorf too! Only think is this resort is quite low and so later in the season there is a bit of issue with the snow lower down the mountains so would suggest going earlier.

Not the most beginner friendly, with only a few blue runs which are still considerably steep. Fantastic for intermediate skiers, with plenty of blue and red slopes that range in both terrain and gradient, with ice being a challenge on some of the more shaded slopes but moguls and piles of snow also offering a challenge and a chance to build up experience at times. There were some really lovely black runs, for skiers and boarders who value the opportunity to carve, as well as some more icy and steep slopes.

This resort links to many others and all have multiple routes and runs with places to stop and eat or apres ski. The village itself is welcoming with lovely places to eat and the staff are accommodating and helpful.
